my w-2 came in yesterday afternoon so me being the person i am had an appointment at h&r block like an hour later so i can get some money im only getting like 1300 back this year since i spent a lot of the year overseas where my income isnt taxable but whatever...

this morning i started thinking about what i should spend it on...figured whats something i havnt put much $$$ into? my trans... I love my t56 but synchros for the 1st and 5th gear are a little worn...and with the abuse im going to be putting her through, i really dont want to break anything...

anyways....i dropped off the t56 at liberty gears in taylor about an hour ago and already blew my tax money and then some with a shopping cart of goodies for her...oops...
theyre gonna pretty much throw everything they got at the trans...all new synchros, bronze shift pads, billet shift dogs, billet shift plates, billet interlock, billet linkage, surface enhancement on everything and lots more... in about a week or so when they have it all apart, im going to take the case parts for powder coat and then return the case to them so they can work on re-assembly... should be a pretty wicked trans.... its getting harder and harder to wait to get this car all put together and take it out for a spin for the first time!

earlier today i called my local pd to ask about the seat belt thing and they were really rude about it all... really?? im trying to do the right thing and check with my local laws but they want to be ass holes for some reason so i guess the only restraint systems your allowed to have in your car are the ones that were installed by the factory but im kinda mad about their behavior over the phone so i just took out the oem belts and will be running just to harnesses... i mean whats the worst i can get? a seatbelt ticket?

anyways...i had to make some space in my bedroom so i figured id put some suspension stuff on the car since that stuff was taking up the most space in my bedroom...
i tossed on my adjustable preload strut tower brace, even though its going to have to come out when the engine goes in, it still acts as a nice handle for me to get in/out of the engine bay a little easier
also threw on my 3 point sub frame connectors and the crossmember for my adjustable torque arm... the subframe connectors were a great fit supprisingly (going to kill me with ground clearance and exhaust setups) but the spohn crossmember wasnt as good of a fit and im still struggling to get it in right... hopefully i can get it right tomorrow as well as get in the torque arm, and some other stuff.

I also heard that Napa sells a Copper plug for our tail lights that fixes the turn signal problems.

today i finished up putting on some of suspension parts that were taking up too much space in my room. i put in my eibach springs, agx shocks, and my torque arm. now ill finally have enough space in my room to sit down
i need to get rid of my rear seats as well...anyone want them? theyre in pretty good condition..theyre like charcoal-ish color..
i would like the get my headliner in next week as well as some of my interior but im in need of some of those plastic retaining clips from the hatch so i can put those plastic peices on but the dealer wants like $7 a peice lol... i also need a new dash pad..while removing mine i kinda accidentally broke mine in half

anyways...so the project is probably going to slow down a bit...im going to be waiting on liberty to do their magic with my trans, then ill have to have the block re-align bored once i get my studs maybe next week or so.. about the only thing i can do is start working on wiring up my doors..maybe sometime next week?

Dave, when we replaced rear and front springs on B's car we were told to put the bottom of the spring end facing the same way to the front or the car won't sit level. We did follow this advice. I noticed in the pic that the bottom ends are not turned the same. You might want to check this out.

I see what your saying, the right rear spring is longer by about an inch and a half and there's more coils so its going to sit a little funny either way, and I just tossed them in for now..eventually I'm going to be putting in my moser 9 inch once I get the third member in. Thanks for the heads up though and ill be sure to set them right when I'm setting them in for the final time

Hey guys...long time no update from me, sorry, I'm still waiting on my trans to get done.
I am however getting ready to order my main studs but need a little help picking.. I looked on summit and am a little confused... Some say large journal others say normal? I need a whole set of normal studs...I'm not using the windage tray, I have a moroso pan that's got one built in so I can't have those long studs.... Any ideas? Thanks
