took some time off after paint..give it time to dry nice and good and to do some shopping but tonight i got some decent work done.. I picked up a set of pioneer 6 1/2" speakers and ran wire up to where the dash would be with lots of extra wire just in case.. i also ran wires for my fuel cell's level sensor and my fuel pump as well as wired the tail lights while i was back there.. i ran all of my wires so i would have enough slack for when the dash gets put in and i decide on final mounting locations for switches and what not...
after the wires were ran i decided to lay down my black carpet.. was a pain in the ass and took a few hours but looks great. once done with that i bolted in my scat seat adapter brackets as well as the stock seat belts and on the driver side i started putting in one of my rjs harnesses.. i mounted them with the stock seatbelts... im only keeping the stock seatbelts because i cant drive on the streets with the harnesses...have to have stock seatbelts gay i know..figured an rjs 5 point and roll bars would be a little safer but i guess im wrong
tomorrow im going to finish removing the last bit of stock wiring in the dash area, finish drivers side harness and do pass side, and dye the rear interior parts..

X25,000 i still have to do the occasional visit to summit for minor things but having 15k in parts sitting in my room just waiting to go on is kinda cool

im in the process of doing all the dye work on my interior parts.. ran out of dye tho.. im letting the stuff dry a little bit then ill move the parts and push the car back in the garage and work on the wiring some more..pix up in a bit..

I actually found out that there's a company that makes street-legal 5 point harnesses. The company's name is Schroth, and from what I understand, the only reason most harnesses aren't street legal is because the companies that make them don't bother to get them D.O.T. approved, presumably due to the fact that they are being marketed towards professional racers, whose race vehicles aren't usually street-driven. When I get my cage and race seats in my car, I'm ordering some 5- or 6- point harnesses from Schroth, and I'm going to ditch the stock belts completely.


On another note, I'm on a similar route as the one you went down, I started accumulating parts for my '93 Formy with my Army money. It started out as a small order using a little bit of my enlistment bonus, but quickly evolved into a $1,000 shopping spree on various websites. . . I have a decent pile of parts waiting for me now, and I plan on ordering more as my bank account looks a little less empty.

I just looked through your album at the parts you bought. . . I noticed the gauge pod you bought has a Boost gauge. . . Is that a sign of things to come, or do you already have F.I.?

Great work, BTW, it's got me excited for when I get home to start doing the same thing. . .

Lol yeah I blew a lot of money in iraq on parts..

And yes it had a boost gauge on it lol.. I'm leaving it n/a right now until I get used to programing my new ecu..once I get the hang of it its tt time lol...everything engine wise is forged and studded and on payday its getting its 4bolt conversion with billet caps so shell be ready
