when i did mine i painted the entire thing and then just sanded the paint back off of the fins.Originally posted by ThreeHonks View PostI think it would look better if you didnt powdercoat over the "fins" on the top of the intake and leave them polished, same goes for the edelbrock logo-Joel

Lol I hope I'm not stuck just looking at it for months.
Yeah I wanted to leave the polished parts and repaint the edelbrock logo but the powder guy was gonna have lots of trouble masking it all off. The edelbrock logo is a little filled up from the powder so it'll be hard to make it look real good... I'd rather just leave it be then mess something up and have to take it back to powder ya know?< Black Betty >

woke up about 1 today to unmask the car and check out the paint... the paint is tack free but can tell its still not 100% dry so i just carefully unmasked everything and ran the heater for a few to warm up the garage a bit so drying might speed up just a little. im pretty happy with the outcome..i think it looks great and will look like a million bucks once everything inside is put together. anyways thats about my day..im still exhausted from last night and still covered in paint and primer
im off for my last bit of christmas shopping.. enjoy the pix!
