  • Moving along quickly! At this rate you're going to finish up before spring and you'll have to just sit and stare at it for 2 months before driving it!

      • Lol I hope I'm not stuck just looking at it for months.

        Yeah I wanted to leave the polished parts and repaint the edelbrock logo but the powder guy was gonna have lots of trouble masking it all off. The edelbrock logo is a little filled up from the powder so it'll be hard to make it look real good... I'd rather just leave it be then mess something up and have to take it back to powder ya know?

        • they also make a chrome decal that can be placed over the fins. Its like $13.00 IIRC

                      • ok so tonight my and a buddy sanded down the roll bars and got everything taped off..the masking job is a little bit ugly but everything i need covered is covered
                        got the bars all primed up and theyre looking good so far...i cant wait to start hitting it with the red paint im cleaning my gun right now and taking a little break then its time to hit it with the viper red

                        • its now 620am...i just finished painting, buddy and i double checked that i didnt miss anything, took some pix, shut everything down and im gettin ready to hit the sack... painting isnt as easy and quick as i once thought it was im exhausted. sometime tomorrow afternoon/night ill unmask everything and take some more pix but for now enjoy these ones..im off to bed

                            • woke up about 1 today to unmask the car and check out the paint... the paint is tack free but can tell its still not 100% dry so i just carefully unmasked everything and ran the heater for a few to warm up the garage a bit so drying might speed up just a little. im pretty happy with the outcome..i think it looks great and will look like a million bucks once everything inside is put together. anyways thats about my day..im still exhausted from last night and still covered in paint and primer im off for my last bit of christmas shopping.. enjoy the pix!
