i havnt updated that album since i came home for r&r leave in iraq about 4 months into the tour...ive got so much more...we had to start putting piles of boxes in a second storage room and the garage ....when i have extra time ill update it..

and yes i have a nice kerosene heater...youll go from seeing your breath to sweating in about 5 min lol so im good...crappy thing is kerosene is too much $$$

anyways... so this morning i got the rotating assembly out...it all looks pretty good to my supprise. i bought a csr electric water pump...uses the same housing, you just punch out the guts, and put the pump where the front plate goes... my issue is that water pump drive needs to be taken out (3rd and 4th pic)....i pulled the two bolts holding the front retainer plate in, put a rag on the end of a punch and tried lightly tapping it out from the back but it dosnt seem to want to move...do i just need to knock it nice and hard or is there a special way to take it out without messing something up? that drive peice is being tossed so im not worried about damaging it..just dont want to be scuffing the block or something like that...any ideas?

The roll bars are from wolferacecraft.com if I remember they're about 575 or so for the bolt in kit and shipping is going to be about another 100 almost but well worth it..I love them already...they're rock solid in there and arnt too hard to put in once the interior is out. I bought the bolt in kit to help with instal but I'm still gonna weld the bars together just before paint

Wow was that chromoly or just that much more expensive because it was bolt-in? Summit has full roll cage kits for $300 all day long.

The kit was mor expensive for the bolt in version..but the bolt in one is much easier to instal and all the connections for the back and front bars are already welded on..hold the main hoop up and slide on the front and back bars, bolt in each and you can move the entire assembly just how you want and drill your holes for the feet perfectly the first time... Only took me about 3 hours and the fit is amazing

oh and btw i updated my new parts album a little while i was eating but its time to get back to the car now...

Those kits from summit are so cheap because they probably don't have the great fitment the wolfe kits have, I'd rather pay more for a better fitting roll bar.

last night i got the ac/heater cores along with the blower and a lot of the wiring pulled out...was kinda a pain but if you dont plan on keeping the stuff, you only gotta get most of the bolts out and start pulling...it will come out.. along with that i got all power steering related stuff pulled out and tossed and started working on gutting the brake system (anyone needs the abs unit pm me today/tomorrow, otherwise its getting tossed) also got the front bumper and headlights off..im going to need to remove the lf fender so i can repair the deer damage eventualy..Id really like to get the fuel system out though...

Yikes - getting rid of the entire heater core? Never understood that Always gotta have defrost... can understand getting rid of AC but I wouldn't want to be stuck driving with fogged up windows and having no defrost.

Hope ya never get caught in the rain then. We were driving home from Woodward and got caught in a freak torrential downpour on the way home and the car fogged all up. My car's defrost wasn't working good and Angie had to literally keep wiping the windshield down so I could see while I was driving. Defrost is way too important to me to get rid of now
