I was refering to what you would want to use.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postnope sure doesn't, you can run electrical gauges on any car they make sensors that go under the hood and run electrical up into the car.
They are both equally accurate, but some people rather not have to deal with the sending unit and running a 12vsigpic

I know I could of put in pillar but wanted right in front of me and sitting in car can't help but notice. The price also makes difference I have 2 summit liquid filled gauges @$18 and $20 in fittings. Its like $200 for just elec.fuel press. gauge, but trying something different will also be trimming up cowl (hangs about 2" over) removing some weatherstripping (help cooling)and smoothing out to paint.Recently bought blazer for winter ride and notice that cowl is smooth and glossy not simulated grain.I have exta cowl that I used to make mold on so nothing lost.My favorite hood tach was the 69 Trans Am and thats what car is being built like.Trying to make like if GM had made an option would like to get blank window sticker to make BADBIRD OPTION then list mods.Just trying some stuff and besides you can't please everyone so you better please yourself.(Hell I'm not putting pink flames on it! lol )hope to have pics up after weekend with gauges in right now its all sanding. Also have other projects coming up once car gets prepped to sit for winter! Thanks for comments good or bad !sigpic

The only thing that really matters is its what you like. Most people need to see something thats different and then let it grow on them before they like it.sigpic

Well thanks for looking! Got it done for now (have to work on cowl don't want to drill holes in this one) no problems with clearance have to run line to fuel gauge port on fuel rail where you see brass cap(have line) and get -4 tee coupler and 2' nitrous line and will come down beside master cylinder.Still have to paint and touch up (used black primer just to get pics up) Was going to hide connecters on back but easier to service and can't really see with hood shut (think it looks tougher also)But the main reason is to check pressure after purge (to keep consitant) and to watch fuel press changes, had to lay gauges back for hood clearance but still in plain sight. Not knocking pillar (have trans temp mounted there) but can't help to notice on "hood".Any suggestions for a small red light for night, might use light like I use for linelock, fans, etc. and wire into lights. Thanks again for looking and just trying something out! also made grommets from vacuum tube (looking for replacements for after paint)sigpic

Yeah, based on the one pic, I was thinking the same.. But it looks like it took it from lower than actual sitting position..Originally posted by MP81 View PostLooks pretty nice - but doesn't look easy to read.sigpic

Thanks! Started out as 2 spray can lids taped on old cowl to lay fiberglass over(think some pics on cell phone).Have to admit not perfect to read (1 1/2" size and had to slant for clearance) but mounted so dial should be at 12:00 and can see dial good. Maybe ITSSLOW can stop by some time to take look. picture was also at dash level not driver eye level. Now I have to sand and trim cowl pieces and paint but probably won't have time til after x-mas but will keep postedsigpic
