  • [Project] Cowl gauges

Well my lil project for next few weeks is for my nitrous/fuel gauges that I have now(1 1/2 in.) and to make them visible.the fuel will be on left side (have fuel safety switch so not as worried)and nitrous on right to watch pressure for run. I've always liked the hood tachs on earlier muscle cars and don't want to mess with hood so came up with this.pulled off mold and just wanted to get some pics up so you can get idea what it might look like (will be black)rerouting lines and noids but hope to have gauges in and lines coming out ready to hook up in next couple weeks.electric gauges are expensive and was looking for something different.

Looks cool - I'm interested to see how visible those are once it's completed.

Agreed. I have always thought that guages outside of the car just look tacky unless the car is a straight up race car and even then 90% of them don't even pull it off well.

I'm curious to see what kind of hood clearance your going to have also.

But its better then having fuel lines ran inside the car.

Maybe when mechanical gauges were the only option, but that isn't the case anymore.

True, all depends on the car

Should look good on the car, just take your time and make it look and operate well. I'll check back for finished pics.
