I bought my old 93 Z28 back, now it needs some TLC

I would buy a new water pump,Hastings or Autozone sells new ones for 100.00 with lifetime warranty.

That's cheaper than I thought it would be, but at the same time it works and thats 100 bucks I could put into something else.

that seal/gasket that's under the throttle body plate is normal - mine looked that way too and so did mcssmostwanted when we cracked his off a few days ago.

Im even having second debates of going through with this. I have really debated on selling it and getting a bike again. I would really like to put money into my 99 Z.

i cant wait to see them powder coated..

I got the intake tube that was chrome done, now its matte black. Looks nice.

Also got the little cover for the water pump done and the coolant neck all done in flat black. The only pics I have are on my phone and I don't like the quality of them on here so Ill just wait until I get some with my camera.

I agree. You seem to have the skill set for it as well. Not like your some kid who thinks it's gonna be an easy project like a few of my friends have done. i really hope to see the car finished and I think it would be a shame to not go through.

I also like how those powder coated parts came out. I guess an upside to it compared to paint besides a million other things is that It's done indoors and it can be done anytime with no cure time in dry sunlight just an oven.

Update:

I got the door skins reattached to the shell. So now no more flapping doors.

The girlfriend bought me 2 new window motors for the 99, since the 99's passenger side went out just before I put it away I am going to replace both of them and use the drivers from the 99 and put it on the 93. Since the 93's drivers is out but passenger side works great.

Once I put the window motor in I just have to clean the door panels, detail the dash, bolt the seats back down and then figure something out for the headliner then I should be good interior wise.

I am going to finish up painting my bosses fender flares on his Mercedes tomorrow night I am going to try to finish sanding the front bumper and prime it if I have enough time.
