Notice the taper on the pressure port? That angle isn't the same as AN fittings. But, they are close and the pressure isn't high enough to cause an issue

    • All done with the pillar-

Got the gauges in and wires through the back. I wanted to get the pillar installed and wires ran but I forgot a clip at work and didn't want to mess up anything by taking it back off.

Plastic is still on fronts and they arent seated all the way in yet incase I have to adjust them once the pillar is in.

Got the an fuel fitting ordered, should be here Friday.

                  • Thanks guys.

Got the all the gauges set in and wires ran on pod.

Swapped out the trans pan and hooked up trans temp sensor.

                    Old-

                    New-

Tomorrow I'm going to extend that ground a little to give it some room to move a bit.

Still need a few quarts of trans fluid and I'll be good to go.

I got the fuel pressure fitting, its wrong. Either they sent the wrong thing or what but the ends are different sizes and too big... Waste of $12. My friend (owns the parts store) thinks he has the correct one for me.

How many quarts does the stock trans pan hold? I'd like to get roughly the same back in plus the 2 extra so I'm not checking it 50 times. I hate that.

                    • What's with the bolt in the center of the trans pan?

Yup, one of 2 reasons I picked up this pan, also for the temp sensor bung.

                          • Couple of questions:

I want to install my trans cooler while keeping my stock cooler.
Will it matter which line I keep in the stock cooler the top or bottom? I know one line from the trans will go into cooler, then line out of the cooler would go into stock cooler the lone out of stock cooler would be the other remaining line back to trans.
Which line should I run to the cooler the top or bottom on the stock cooler?

Any suggestions or pics where I can mount this dang thing? I think it's the 8"x11" iirc.

Any suggestions on a new set of speakers?
There are some Polk audio, pioneer and infinitys going for $60-$90 for a set of 4 on amazon. The pioneers that are in it are pretty worn out. I think I'm going to get a new head unit too.

Next question, I deleted the antenna, therefore I ge 102.9 (county) uke:... I was wondering if there was an Velcro or sticky antenna I could put up in my back window (on the inside) something that lays flat?

                            • I used pioneer components in the rear of my car. Tweeters mounted seperately in the plastic next to the seats. They are my only speakers and sound pretty good/loud. I may add a set to the front. I paid $70 for the pair i think which was the best price i could find but worth it imo

                              • Outside of the factory Bose systems that were awesome in these cars, go with Pioneer as Joel suggested. Reasonable price and good value. I had a Pioneer kit in my Blazer and that thing rocked.
