Can't wait to see the pics! Larry, B, give us your honest opinion of the work because that is an awesome price to paint the whole car. I have a car that needs new paint . . . already have a line on one place that's a good price for excellent work, but your guy is even less. Hope it comes out well!

Sorry guys, no updates yet. I thought his "2 days worth of work" estimate was a little too good. But no in all honesty we told him to take his time as long as we can get it before next weekend.

MAYBE ... MAYBE if we're lucky my dad can pick it up tonight and we'll have it out at the Lakeside Cruise-in... but no promises, my dad called late Sunday and didn't get ahold of him so we don't even know how far into it he is.

When I dropped it off Friday I could see he had a ton of work there! and was very skeptical of it being done by sunday night. One thing that gave me a feeling of confidence was an other guy there waiting to talk to Bill, he had a chameleon blue/green camaro there and was getting new hood painted. He told me Bill has painted that car 2 years ago and had done 4 other cars for him.

my thoughts exactly, and a two day estimate for paint? common. heck one day alone would be prepping, then painting a few coats, probably add some more, then clear it and it would still have to be dried correctly before letting the person take it home, I don't see how all that paint work he is having done could be finished in 2 days.

That price is insanely cheap too larry, unless your plum purple is extra cheap I know my red paint alone would probably cost almost that much just for the paint lol.

In talking to different paint guys, they tell me red is the most expensive paint because there is a lot of piqment in red. (excluding custom color)
