      • Thanks for the compliments, everyone. The Project has taken on a life of it's own over the last year or so. Hopefully it will be a fitting tribute to the efforts and support we've gotten from everyone. From Berger Chevrolet, to our dedicated WMCC Club members and to the corporate sponsors that have worked with us on parts.

              • Doug! The wheels are awesome, I love the theme idea and how different yet awesome it will look! I can't wait to see it when it's done!
I am hoping next year Vic and I will have more time to spend in MI with you guys. Maybe we can even show off each other's second gen cars to each other! Again, congrats on the project and keep up the hard work.

                • Hey Derek,

Nice to hear from you. I would love to see the two 2nd Gens together. That would be awesome! Congrats on the '85 IROC-Z, too.

We've made some nice progress on the Project over the last few weeks. We'll post some more progress pics soon.

                      • I can give you a quick up-date from when I was there on Sat. The front sub-frame was put back on, brake lines and fuel lines run and when I left they were getting ready to install the fuel tank. Doug, Al, or James could fill you in on what else was done on Sat. Seems like a second shift of people were showing up to work on it when I was leaving.

                        • The tires came in yesaterday. Hope to get them mounted this afternoon. SSBC sent us the wrong front brake rotors (for a '69) and shipped out the correct ones on Friday. Hopefully they will be here today. The rear disc brakes are on and the rear end is almost ready to re-install. We have the Optima battery and will begin to mount it in the trunk and run the power cable to the front of the car. Hopefully we'll get the engine and transmission home this weekend (maybe Sunday) so we can begin to fit the engine/trans assembly into the car.

I'll try to get some photos soon.
