What grade tint should I get? 20 or 35? I was told 35 is too light and 20 my buddies have been pulled over with.

35 isn't too bad - if you do 35 on the sides and then limo on the rest of the windows (rear windows and hatch) it will seem a lot darker.

Hmm... H22 eh? You just reminded me to look for a Prelude for a daily again if I can't pull off a truck. Those motors are STOUT.

            I went with 35
            then 20
            then 5
            then pulled over haha

now I will be going back to 20%

I'm thinking 35% up front, 20% in the back 3 windows.

Yea, you can see through the front during the day. I'd like it to be a little darker but too late now.

Hey Joe, just out of curiosity, what is your projected budget to do the motor build?

If it's cheap for you since you're at Rinke, have them throw another layer of tint on the rear windows. It will darken the whole car. They should be able to layer it no problem. They could throw another 20%, 35%, etc on it.

Truly at this point I have no idea, whatever it takes to get me to where I want to be. The trans I want to do with probably be upwards of $3k, the ITB's are about $1k-2k, the motor build itself with be about $3-4k, and misc. parts to get it running and what-not. But I'll probably change my mind halfway through the build and go a different route and just slap on a ported stock mani and a stock B series trans. See, I could change a ton of routes along the way. So who knows.

The whole tint job cost me $194 OTD. I think it'll look good when everything is all sorted out, and if it doesn't I'll just get some 20% on the fronts. It's fine for now though.
