Well today I avoided certain disaster. Found out yesterday that my upper radiator hose was about to burst due to it sitting on the serpentine belt pulley. It had nearly completely worn through the hose and was maybe a few days away from going on me. So I went up to Jeff's shop and replaced that with his and his dad's help. Got a couple pics but the quality sucks. Also got my headers prepped and cleaned for coating, which will happen this Friday. Also figured out that next Thursday will be the day that we will be putting my headers on (hopefully without a hitch)

Yes. Also the hose was all the way on the engine and apparently if you put it all the way on it will be directly rubbing on the pulley. So this new hose I only clamped on halfway so no more rubbing. Now the next thing I need to ge accomplished is taking off my tensioner and re-packing it with grease so it stop's freaking squeaking!! It's driving me insane.Originally posted by Schuby87 View PostDid you have the tb coolant bypass mod and the coupler was pulling the hose down?

Well it looks like my headers are on hold for awhile. As I'm sure a lot of you guys know I blew my trans yesterday, so obviously that is priority number one to get the car back on the road. Hopefully I'll get it into a shop on Monday and by most of the estimates I've received it will be done by the end of next week. So it's not too bad, just the fact I have to trouble my family for rides to work and school for the next week or two and I don't have a car if I wanna go somewhere. On a good note though, Campbell found a LS6 intake for me that a friend of his is getting rid of in June so I'll have that little toy to put on my car come summer.sigpic
