I bet it makes just over 400 to the tires.

Whatever I end up with will be better than what I have now so I'm sure I'll be happy with it whatever it is. I'm really not out to beat anyone and started this thread all in good fun. I am getting excited tho. Can't wait to see all these parts put to good use.

if your getting that far into it why not ditch the opti and get coil packs?? save you a possible headake in the future if your water pump ever goes bad.

She has an electric water pump from what I can read. And yes you should look into something other than that opti! I blew mine 3000mi after my rebuild. I have an MSD one now but I will be swapping it out for the coil packs. Something to think about.

We can do the coil packs at a different time but as of right now what she has will be just fine.

We are looking at 400 + at the rear.
I'll be excited to see what this can do because she has more lift than I do

Those injectors are not too big!
That is what I'm running on mine and they work great.
According to what I have read those will support a 500 HP motor with a little to spare and that is what we want.
30's are too small and the duty cycle would be cranked right out on those things.

you basicly ditch the distributor and you use a series of coil individualy mounted by each spark plug on the valve covers. They don't fail as much as the opti-fail does. I figure if your in there you might as well do it now insted of taking it apart later

Its also about a $800 conversion. You still have to use the opti basically as a crank sensor telling the car when to spark on each cylider, but the opti is no longer directly sending out your spark.
