  • I'm working on fixing all of the problems at the moment, the IAC sensor wire is being soldered back in and I have to make a trip to the hardware store in a few to pick up a new o-ring for the coolant crossover because the gasket maker didn't seal well. Then I have to grab some connectors to swap the wires on my cam position sensor and then I'll just be sitting around wiaiting again because I will be buying a LS6 intake and ported throttle body today.

        • The manifold is plastic, which I tried to have plastic welded and was told that nothing will adhere to it because its a mix of different plastics. The patch piece is aluminum and we attached it with JB weld after being told by several plastic places that it would work the best.

            • I will be keeping it and getting more opinions on what may work best if at all and fiberglass is an option, I just don't know how well it would hold up to gas fumes.

                  • If you can find any stampings that identify the plastic, it would be easy to match it to the best adhesive. That is, if you want to try it again.

                    • i know $300 isn't pocket change, but a new ls6 intake would be the route i would go. have some peace of mind that it's perfect.

                      • Unfortunately there is no stamping on it at all Brett I tried to go this route before but you can take a look at it next time your out this way just let me know. Either way I'm buying an LS6 intake and then I won't be rushed to decide on what to do with the FAST, plus I have plans to spray the car eventually and I would never do it with any type of fix like that.

                          • Defiantley just give me a shout. The problems are usually expected, but shit I got the car running April 1st and if I had lots of free time and money it would have been running a while ago.

did phil have you swap the two wires? everyone I have seen have had the two wires swapped causing a long crank and a MIL

                              • Yeah I swapped the wires, the funny thing is I was totally expecting it but when I read all the posts about it they said the telltale sign is no tach, I didn't know they meant using software, because I had a working tach in the car. That should completly solve the starting issure I had though so that makes me happy. Now if that intake and tb would just show up already I could be driving it.
