Well...the T/A project is on hold.
I'm in the middle (not quite the middle; maybe an eighth) of a bathroom remodeling project. Today consisted of pulling wire and installing electrical hardware. (Sorry, no pics.) Tomorrow will consist of pulling more wire, install more hardware and install an exhaust fan with lighting. (Prolly no pics again.) The next day...blah, blah, blah.
I'll post pics of the head project ONCE (or if...) I get started. My intentions are to do a cam swap at the same time. Any suggestions? I'm considering the Raptor from TR.

I'm looking at head gaskets and standard (stock) thickness is .051".
I found these http://www.trickflow.com/partdetail.asp?part=TFS%2D30694030%2D045&autoview= sku they're .045" thick compressed instead of .051". They'll bump the compression up a bit and I wouldn't think there would be any issues going only .006" thiner (e.g. intake fit, etc).
$72 each at Summit. If I want to go cheaper ($$$ wise) everything is .051" thick and up. I wonder how much of a difference in compression .006" will make? Might not be worth the extra cash.

OK...found some time today (a couple of hours) and started the project. Strictly partial disassembly today. Hopefully I'll get back to it tomorrow!

Had another opportunity today, thus 'Day 2'.
Spent a couple more hours today...and progress is a bit slower.
Coil packs are off, more hoses disconnected, several wire connectors unplugged, a few header bolts out and most all intake bolts unscrewed.
Wow. Getting under the cowl is a total ***** (especially with bifocals...
).
My somewhat inexpensive guaranteed for life 1/4" ratchet took a crap (the manufacturer took a crap too; oops sorry, no warranty for you!
). Trip to Sears tomorrow. Additionally, I seem to be lacking a 3/8" fuel line quick disconnect tool? Huh?
I thought everyone had one of those. I would have settled with a slower disconnect tool, but I didn't have that either. Trip to Auto Zone or Murray's tomorrow.
Sorry, no pics today. Although, I could have taken pics of my torn, blood drenched wrists and forearms from working under the cowl!!!!! (Good times, woot!)
