um huh? You definitely do not need headwork for a cc503. You dont even need headwork for a ron-jeremy GM847. Headwork will affect your top end power, but it is not "necessary." Contrary to popular belief, LT1 heads flow plenty good for a decent cam. Everyone that complains about them ought to look at some of the heads that were used in the 70s/80s - GM might as well just put a damn wall in the ports for no reason.

The biggest advantage a cc503 has over a hotcam is that it maintains more low end torque, which heads arent going to affect as much.

Now if you arent on a budget... hell, headwork is worth the money on a stock cam.

Oh I'm definitely planning on doing the valve springs, roller rocker arms, all that fun stuff -- that's why my cam package is a little over a grand. I'm still going back and forth on whether or not to port'n'polish the heads, though. It seems like it'd be a good idea but I don't know if I can afford to do that.

From what I've been hearing they aren't making the stainless steel headers and ORY for LT1s anymore, only LS1s.

The problem with the LPP is that no one really knows for sure whether the guy is going to make a second batch or not. He did kind of a gauging interest thread last winter, and a ton of people were like hell yeah I'll take off my pacesetters and put these on blah blah blah. Then he makes them, and no one buys them. I'm pretty sure that he ran an initial batch of 50, and is just now selling the last of them, and they have been for sale since spring. He has kinda went back and forth over whether to make another batch or not, so no one is really sure if he will or not.

It's too bad he can't get a company to make them for him or something so he can mass produce them and really rake the money in.

yah, I guess that he designed them himself, and then gave a machine shop the specs. The problem is, the shop wanted him to give them the money up front to get the headers. I think that he said his cost for the headers and Y-pipe was like 400, so he had to front them 20,000. Thats a big chunk of change that he was scared to lose. I will say one thing, I am saving up as much as I can in an attempt to get a set of these before he runs out.

If he can't sell the ones he's built, there's not a good business case to present to a mass producer...

he has a flawed marketing strategy, i have been in the market for a set for a while and this is the first i have heard of them and i do not know where to buy them.
