bump, anyone think it would be completey retarted to put TD's on stock manifolds? Or will that work fine?

it'll work but you might as well just do a catback because your not flowing well with manifolds and fabbing up duals would be unnecessary and more expensive.

Thing is im going to use these mufflers.

I don't think that I will be able to with a catback. What you think? Plus, when I do get the longtubes, i can just keep those mufflers and fab up a new exhaust at that point.

u could fab some duals but how far the long tubes would come and their place ment you might end up hacking a chuck of the duals off and redoing them.

u could do a catback tho with one of them kinda like a loud mouth setup but it will sound alot better. i had something simular to this on my camaro back in the day.

td's with just those will be loud lol hope its not getting dumped trust me...

Yah i was gonna dump it and if you say its loud im kinda scared to do it, lol. I want to have the TD's but I dont think that I'm prepared to go to the extent of bringing an exhaust over the axle on the drivers side, or getting a PHB re-location kit. I don't know I gotta look into it more.

for sure it will be loud. pretty much any muffler you stick under there you'll hear unless it was something off a stock car lol turndowns help tho

well 2.5inch true duals could be done easily with one going over each side of the axle. ive done 2 3inch over the right side no problem on stock suspension and my lowered camaro but it takes patience. some people remove the upper pan hard bar with out any issues, u dont auto X your car so u'd be straight but there will be people swearing up and down that you need it. TMRArb who is my buddy on here from Lake orion hasnt had his since early this spring when i did his exhaust. 2 2.5 over the right side would be real easy but im not sure what you wanna go with.

just some stuff to think about.

heres mine with spintech mufflers gives you a idea on how loud it was

I'd put one of those in the I-pipe and call it good like a loudmouth setup or the best possible option IMO for now would be an electric cutout, its cheap and you can have it loud when you want and quiet too then you save up for headers and do duals then.

Um yeah, way to go russ you just talked me into true duals dumped, lol. I think that I'm going to do true duals dumped, but put some turndown or outs or something on them.

Got my stuff from UMI today!!

On the UMI short stick is says this CAN NOT be used with a stock non hurst shifter base. Anyone have any idea why this is?

This is now the pile O parts that is to be installed. UMI stick and shifter handle will go in tomorrow since that takes literally 5 minutes. Clear corners/ fogs I will probably just have the body shop throw in there when they redo the front bumper since it will be WAY easier for them to do it with the bumper cover off. The rest is part of what I have now dubbed "project pretty rear end". I now need an Aluminum rear diff cover, and a rear end so that I can clean and paint one, but I think that I have a lead on the rear end, so anyone have a diff cover or know of one for sale? I have also heard of people welding the axle tubes to the diff housing or something like that for added strength, anybody know about that? Help will be much appreciated.

Thats what I'm hopin! I've actually had them since probably june, a buddy gave them to me cause he thought that they made the car he bought look like rice. I was just having a lot of trouble finding the amber bulbs. Finally found them over in BC. I wish that I had the money to blow, I would just throw some LED bulbs in there, but I gotta save for the new rear.

Okay so question. I found out that you can put a light coating of paint over the amber bulbs so that they don't stick out like a sore thumb inside the clear housings. Question is, should I use silver or chrome to paint over them? I'm just trying to decide which one would blend in better.

Well, that is still a little ways off on doing that yet, but if I don't like it too much it will just be more motivation for me to get it up over the axle.

Anyone know on the marker lights? Ever heard of this bieng done? Are there clear bulbs that shine amber? What do you clear marker light guys do?!?! I need some help ASAP cause these are going in the car.
