  • [Project] my95z28 project thread

I bought my car on April 20, 2008 with 56,000 miles on it. It was stock other than a K&N cai and Milla 1000 rims. The rims look very close to ZR1 rims, but they are just a little different. My mods are kinda random cause I usually pick up things when I think they are a good deal and have money at the same time. Unfortunatly, I rarely have extra money to blow bieng a college student, lol.
Here are a few pics of the start of my car and a few stock exhaust vids.

Was at Pace's a few weeks ago, and happened to spot an exhaust laying against the wall with stock tips on it but a flowmaster muffler. I figured that would be better than stock and Pace gave it to me for a great price. I started working on cleaning it up a little today. Took it down to bare metal, and then I'm going to paint it flat black so that it blends in. Don't know whether I'm going to paint the tips flat black for a stock look, or try and chrome them. Any opinions?

What it looked like when I got it

    Halfway done

Stopped there for the day cause my arms were beat. Took almost 2 hours to do that. Also, for future reference, it is always good to use earplugs when using power tools. I can't hear a damn thing right now, lol.

Add to that list a 7.6 Torsen Differential!!!!!!!!. My LSD had been slipping and I figured that while I was in there I might as well change the differential. Apparently this unit can be used in there as well, and is a gear style locker, so it will never wear out like the clutch style will. Thinking pretty heavily on getting a stronger girdle cover, anyone have one for sale or know of one for sale for a good price?

Wow, that exhaust looks great! Personally, I'd cut off the stock slot tips and just throw on some chrome slash tips.

Awesome to hear you got some more parts, though!
