  • Wow, you got lucky...I heard it has something to do with certain batches (quality control)...some come out good.

    • Youre probably gonna want something bigger than 17s now. many drop springs seem to drop a little more than advertised so people are happy with them.

                  • Going with 18's won't change anything anyways you would just have to run a lower profile tire to get the same overall diameter.

BTW because of the drop you may have header and Ypipe clearence issues. Not to mention your ground effects will be quite a bit closer to the ground.

                    just something to think about.

                    • Yeah, definitely kept that in mind when I selected the lowering springs that I did. My car only looks low right now because the current shocks suck and I'm constantly bottoming out.

The shocks have nothing to do with ride height or how low the car looks.
When you add the lowering springs your ride will change and you will have to adjust your shocks to a firmer setting to keep the suspension from riding on the bump stops.
Keep in mind that the Prokits are progressive springs also which means they will initially be soft then as they get compressed the rate increases.

You need to search for some information on good shock settings with those springs. Find a baseline setup then adjust to your own taste.

Check out these wheels. A friend of mine belongs to this site:

                          http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=171355

I did a little investigating and I believe my WS6 wheels are 17x9. Tire size is P275/40ZR17.

Those Corvette wheels take P245/40ZR18 and P285/35ZR19 tires. Width wise, mine fall in the middle.

                          I considered it but:

                          $300 for the wheels
                          $1,600 for tires (Tire Rack)
                          $250 for wheel adapters
                          $100 installation, balancing and alignment
                          $250 to ship everything

$2,500 for those wheels. Umm, I’m thinking not.
