I think he is refering to the wires not the actual plugs

You gotta remember that I dropped my transmission off with him back in January. But - I don't have it yet, I'll be getting it tomorrow. He went to put the torque converter onto the transmission and the balloon plate or something doesn't fit so he needs to get a new hub. He's going to get it for me tomorrow and *Hopefully* should be picking it up tomorrow when I get out of work after lunch.

I think you should have just used Delco's in the first place personally. Cleaner look, not in the way of removing valve covers, and much less problematic in my experience. JMO
I've actually already decided that I'm not going to do the over the valve covers, so yeah the only problem is the $108 I spent to have them made. I really might just buy the AC Delcos and plugs tomorrow and then when the other wires come I can just turn around and sell them.

Sure hope so! My dad got half of the list done today!

            Today my dad accomplished:
            • Install battry cable
            • Polish valve covers
            • Install Valve covers
            • Install serpentine belt
            • Remove heater hose asm
            • Install heater hose asm.
            • Fill engine with oil

When I got home I painted the frame rails and firewall black, then my dad and I got the driver's side shock installed (we can't do the passenger side because we can't open the door... some DUMBASS wanted us to park the car 2 inches away from the wall... then we installed the new 98+ disc emergency brake cables. After that we installed the stainless steel brake line that goes from the ABS to the rear end.

Tomorrow I'm only working a half day and then Friday I have off entirely so as long as I get the transmission, spark wires and plugs, and the LT1 radiator fan, I should be all set!

                  • One quick recommendation for you Brian, if I were you, I wouldn't use that FRAM oil filter. Nate had one collapse on him and turn into like a 2 hr oil change, and I as well had one collapse on me, and it was a ***** to get off. Both of us were using the proper "hoop" oil filter wrench.

we picked that up because it will only be on for 300-500 miles, then change oil after break in.

Really? I've always used fram on my car... obviously a different engine now but still?

And yeah, more importantly like my dad said, it's only going to be used for the break in.

                            • use WIX oil filters. they are the best and cheap. Like $7 at NAPA.

you have room to run a deep filter, so you can use 51061 or 51060. (only difference is a leak-back valve which is irrelevant on a vertical mounted filter)
