The best tool for getting out exhaust manifold bolts is a heat wrench (aka a torch) Heat the studs up first and the area around the bolt-They come out very easy after that.

This is absolutely false when working with aluminum heads. Aluminum expands when it heats up - therefore the threads would be clamping down on the bolts moreso than if they were cold.

Yep...aluminum threads need to be treated carefully.

SeaFoam has a super-penetrant out too that works pretty good...Deep Creep...says it's been around since 1942...

2-piece driveshaft.

There are postings elsewhere about people replacing their 2-piece driveshafts with 1-piece. I think it's very common, with no downside. I did it; haven't noticed any additional vibration.

I can't see why GM did that.. They didnt save money with the two piece... Maybe it has less driveline vibration?

Getting there. Once I get the rest of the parts I'm going to take a week or so off from work and then do it.

Better pick up the pace brian, I pickup my motor on friday, and its coming apart friday, haha.

You do have me beat in the whole get the 6 out of the car department though....
