Well hopefully this winter I can get a lot done, I at least need a new T-top bar and weatherstripping, and a rear end. And when I do the rear end I can replace the fuel pump with a better high performance one and get a new fuel pump sending unit so my gas gauge works. I will also be doing a complete exhaust, hedman longtubes with a custom 3" x-pipe with bullit racing mufflers
. And I will be doing some much needed electrical repairs to fix all that was done wrong on this car :sigh:. And if I still have money I will try and fix my small trans leak.

jake i will have a rear end for sale here in a little while its still a 10 bolt but has a posi unit (i think its a eaton) with with 3.73 gears in it that has virtually no noise even with aftermarket gears in it

I am definatly interested, Since I have a drum setup now it would be a direct swap, very easy, How much is gary willing to pay/ whats his offer. I would like to get a deal, but i have no idea how much a 10 bolt rear end like yours is worth-

well a ring a pinion will run you about 200-250$ and 10 bolt 100-150. and someone to install the gears anywhere from 300-500. so hes probably got 600-800$ tied up in it. i would offer 300-400$ if it was me b/c its used.

I am picking up a 10 bolt from a 90 Iroc, It has 2.73 posi in it but I will be getting 3.73s for it. I will but new axle bearings in and rebuild the brakes as well. So all the internals will be new. I can't wait to have Posi in my Camaro.
$100 is what I am paying and I get a rear sway bar with it too.

The seller does not know how many miles are on them, But when I get the rear end I will take a close look at the Carrier. The seller said they look good. No known issues.Originally posted by slohand View PostCrash,

Update- I am looking online at new carriers, Any idea on what spine I have, I am assuming my stock 86 open diff rear end is a 26 spline, But when I look up parts for a 90 Iroc rear end they all come up 28 spline,
I am not looking at spending big money, I am looking at strange enginearing pro series carriers right now, I am assuming when they say 3.23s and up that means I can order a larger gear right?
