Damnit.. I forgot to buy a band! Its all good though because its 95% finished up. All I have left is 3 clutches to install then I can put the pump back on. I'll buy a pan in a few weeks.. not to worried about it at this point cuz I've got the old one to keep the dust out.


It shouldn't take an entire day to build a transmission but, When yur doing it at work in between all the other crap ya gotta do.. It kinda gets stretched out.

Next up:
TH350 Spohn Trans mount.
Saginaw 525 manual steering box
Cam swap and a converter.

Woot!! Gotta love ebay. I won a manual steering box and can't wait to get that on the doorstep.

Saturday I finished up my transmission!! Just need to buy a deep pan. I bought a little something else as well. Should look good as well as kill the old setup.... secret upgrade!

Got my manual steering box in. Donno if anyone wants to attempt to do this but, You must change the pitman arm over. The S10 style pitman arm is shorter and won't allow the correct steering geometry.


I pretty much have no choice but to start working on my engine now. I can't get a converter yet... I haven't chosen a cam. I don't really need the spohn crossmember right now because the trans isn't really ready to go in. So I should be buying a cam here soon.

BLOOP! Update!!! So.. I dont remember where I left off last but, My Trans is built.. bought my spohn crossmember and I have a cam, lifters, and new springs. I could take pics but I like to keep all that good stuff a secret. BAHA.

I tore my engine down to hone the cylinders and did so at work! My main and rod bearings.. uhm questionable so.. I'm gonna spend the 50 bucks and replace em! Currently my block is bare.. sleeping in a bag with WD40. I have some goods on the way..

I sold my 89 GTA and its leaving this weekend! I'm buying my converter and probably some other small crap that I need. Might be done by the time Woodward rolls up.. maybe.

oh.. yeah I forgot to mention I just bought a 509 casting 400 block.. so wont be long before my turbo dreams become reality.. not this year though! Splayed caps and all that good stuff gets expensive!
