  • Project Beer Money

Its been 3 long years since Shes been on the road but, its time to get her back out. Project Beer Money is officially under the knife. I recently got a DUI and its cost me in more than enough ways to finally take my money else where and that else where is my beloved third gen. You'll see by my bumper cover just how stupid drinking and driving is.

Heres some shots of it stuffed in the garage just how I left it... Notice the custom MIFBODY sticker that you can't get Just a couple things done today.. deleted some wiring, rerouted a few, vacuumed out some dust and dirt and just tried to clean it up a bit. I just purchased a TH350 long tail trans that I'm rebuilding myself (full manual valve body, rebuild kit and a hardened intermediate race) Thats it for now.

I have a 385 stroker, plan on spraying a 250 shot through it.. Kind of a budget build. After I get off probation, assuming it lasts that long, I'll throw serious money at it.

Definetly should be out next spring, I have a few expensive things to buy..full MSD ignition, Converter, I want to run an electric water pump and I'll probably end up buying some March pulleys. I gotta yank that monster steering gear box in favor of the S10 manual box. Spohn Crossmember needs to be swapped for a th350. I've been looking at options for a switch panel and some more gauges.. We'll see what my wallet can take.

So the last few nights I've been pretty busy. The engine bay of a third gen is cluttered with wires especially if it was TPI. So I began deleting wires for the charcoal canister and cruise control. A/C is gone so those wires had to go.. I'd love to have an A/C delete box but, I dont have that in my budget. It Looks a lot cleaner now and it also leaves room in the grommet for extra gauges.

So today I got outta work early and decided to knock the dust off with a spray down.. heres some pics of it in the sun for the first time in years

Long weekend coming up! Ordering Trans parts and I'm probably gonna need more electrical tape! Sorting out these wire harnesses gets kinda messy! I have 98% of the wires I dont need now outta the car, and It looks a lot less cluttered. The engine bay is cleaner after spraying it down with degreaser. This car is sooo clean, I'm pretty sure it has around 50k original miles on it. I think thats about it really.

I really need an s10 manual steering gear box! Keep on the look out for me guys and girls. Its known as the saginaw 525 box that was in 80s s10s.

I guess I should take pictures... everyone likes pictures. Documentation of my progress!
