  • Sorry again to see it. I just don't understand why cars on the side of the road are such a magnet for idiot drivers to plow into.

I'm not sure either. I'm clueless as to why the driver A) didn't start slowing down way back and B) chose to veer between us, rather than around us.

Thanks! And I'm planning to take it to Patsy Lou up here in Flint. They're on AAA's list of so-called "AAA certified repair shops" - meaning that AAA doesn't need to inspect it, the shop/dealer will guarantee the repair for 3 years, and AAA guarantees it for the length I own the vehicle. I'm going to ask them to call me once they finish their inspection.

          • I'm guessing he did, State Trooper was there and spent a great deal of time talking with him

I hear ya. Friday I went to go meet my dad at Katech and there was a bright red sunbird on the shoulder/entrance to a bank on the corner of 21 and Sugarbush - looked perfectly fine, was just parked there. Came back about a half hour later and it was being loaded onto a flatbed and the rear driver's side corner was all crunched in like someone just didn't see the bright red sunbird sitting there and went to merge into the entrance to the bank. Idiots.

Yeah, he had plenty of time. But rather decided hitting two cars was a better option. I'm thinking he'll probably lose his job too because he's a dumbass.

They sure are. I want to get another pair of Potenzas up front so I finally have four matching tires

                  • Took it to the dealership yesterday to start the repair process - one of AAA's direct repair shops - this means the body shop guarantees the work for 3 years and AAA guarantees it for the length I own the vehicle. It needs: a new bumper, new left lower grille (which they will paint to match my others which I painted), new driver-side fender with new GM mark of excellence badge, new driver-side mirror assembly, new front left wheel (which they will paint to match my others which I just recently painted), new fender wheel-lining, fix the door damage, repaint the area, reapply the pinstripes (so it matches) and then align the *****. If there's any suspension damage, they will contact me before fixing so we can go over what they have to buy (since most of it isn't LT stuff haha).

Total amount for the repair: $2033.41. Total amount I have to pay: $0.00.

Hell no, those things are staying off. Love the steely look, so much better than shitty noisy hubcaps, especially since I plasti-dipped the wheels.

                          • Sticking with the LT bumper. The SS bumper is about twice the price (so $600 haha). I still love the sleeper look.

                              • Got my car back yesterday! Felt so strange driving it, now that I'm used to driving a Vibe

But it looks fantastic - and it's great having a fresh new front bumper which is devoid of scuffs, scratches, chips and gouges which my stock bumper had in excess.

(I know pics are blurry, still getting used to my Atrix 2's camera)

Waiting outside for me at the dealership. Good as new!

                                Back home.

So shiny! Grille paint match was very good!
                                2012-02-23_18-08-40_272.jpg

They didn't use Plasti-Dip, but honestly, it's pretty damn close!

It felt good to open it up for a second. I'm so used to that Vibe with the overboosted gas pedal which goes nowhere when you floor it, after it takes about an hour to downshift twenty times.
