It's an Eaton supercharger. I wish that I knew more about them Kyle, I would shed some light on it. But I think that you are right, obviously the rotors were hitting the housing.

    • Would a different type or weight of supercharger oil quiet it down? maybe a little thicker?

            • Well, I bit the bullet and shelled out 300 big ones from another member on CobaltSS.net (from my BlackBerry, haha). It has a 2.9" pulley, so I may or may not just stick with that. It's not ported, so it'll be a little quieter, but I've heard the port-jobs on the SC decrease boost.

The guy is a premium member on CobaltSS.net, with about 700-some posts, so he pays to have that status. And if there's any issues...I'll know right after I get it.

I just really hope it all goes right this time...

                • I was wondering if Eaton can buy it back to referb it or something.

My best friend wants to buy it for his Subaru.

It seems to work all right, it just makes noise now...
