  • Many, many memories of eating in the Berkley A&W in my dad's work van - though we had no issue eating inside it. Where to put the giant glass mug of root beer was always a fun task - I can't quite remember where we'd put them.

    • I thought I was probably done posting cruise and car show photos for 2022, but when it's November 4th in Michigan, and it's clear skies and low 70s (60s into the evening), then you just have to meet up with a few other car crazy folks and hit Woodward one last time for the year. It's been a good year of assorted outings and events (24 different events throughout the spring, summer and fall, May through November, 20 of them with the T/A). While I didn't get any photos of passing vehicles, there were quite a few other folks out. We certainly were not the only ones who did not want to put the toys away for winter.

      • I have to say, I think this is one of the best years in terms of number of Woodward nights - very few Fridays were missed due to weather. Hell, Woodward Dream Cruise week was every night - it almost never is.

Definitely a good season, though I never got the Camaro out - oh well, next year (maybe )

        • Yes, you definitely need to get that starter issue addressed, and the drivability. It would be very cool to have Matt's 5th gen, your 2nd, and my 3rd all out there together. Maybe Brian, the MIFB Grand Exalted Poobah would even show up with his 4th gen!

          • That would be something...and it'll require quite the feat to get my lazy ass out to the garage to work on the car.

Need to get those body bushings in too! And clean of the caked-on oil off the oil pan so I can monitor where the leak is coming from. I know it has a RMS leak, but this seems to be elsewhere.

            • Still working our way through winter. Been out in the garage when I get a chance, still trying to get things back together after the fire. Was hoping to have the T/A in that heated attached garage by now, but we're not there yet. I'll be out there all day tomorrow working on it.

I did have a nice first automotive outing of 2023, the Chrome & Ice show in Flint, MI. Here are some pics. 3rd gens not well represented. If I get a few more things fixed on mine, I might enter that show one of these years. The variety of cars at this show is amazing to me. Made some nice connections in the vendor areas too.

Celebrating 70 years of Corvette, which was first produced in Flint, MI.

Seemed like a pretty efficient way to hand;e the voting.

                          • Work on the garage continues, from cabinets and contents to equipment to signs and supplies.

                            • Air hose.

Disassembled and cleaned, not working. A new bulb/tube and it's working again.

                              It's coming along.

                              • As for the T/A itself, she got started and moved a little the other day. First snow it's seen while I've owned it.

As a lifelong Hagar fan, I just had to have this when I saw it.

And these found their way to me a few weeks back. The fronts will get refinished along with my two current fronts, the the new tires I picked up last year will get mounted, along with the new centers my wife bought me. They will be red, of course.
