No not yet. Everything except my 2 fenders/spoiler @ my dads house in saginaw. Plan is to ask my brother to borrow his van so I can take a trip up there and haul my parts to him so I can get an accurate quote. But I dont see my brother often so doubt that will happen. So might just stick with this guy in Lapeer...IDK I still have SOME time to decide who/where I want to get it done at.Originally posted by tenpin842 View PostDid you call my Bro in law for the paint?
Worth a call so I'm not stuck in the middle.
Should be pretty decent if your doing all the sanding.
Best of luck bud! I hope it turns out like ur sig.....that would be nice for sure!!!
But without further or due..and complimentary to UPS.. My spoiler has arrived

Plan on sanding this bad mamajama first. What grits should I start with as you can see the paint is chipping pretty bad.

I would recomend media blasting. Just be careful if you sand it not to sand into the urathane. Good luck, Eric L

How deep are the paint chips? If you run your finger across them can you feel the edges significantly? If you are going to sand it I would not go any lower than 400 grit. I would just aim to blend and smooth the area not the whole bumper. Use a scotchbrite pad for the whole bumper.
The car will be a head turner for sure. Congrats Rolo! V6 Power FTW!

Yea you definately can feel ths chips once you touch it.
Yea Im just trying to be different. Still would need a paint job in the future and HOPEFULLY by then I have will another DD. Im going to be scared to drive it.. Took my 2 years to get all these parts at the deals I got them for and dont want it to go away like that.
V6 powa!

Thought about doing that, but this Yoshi isnt made to go fast, and never will be. Its just a cruiser ya know? Someday..if Is till have it (hopefully) Iwould like to drop in a v8, but I know I will have a z28 by then.
So this will just be a cruiser , or when its fully "restored" it will be Trisha's and I will go out looking for my LT1. Thats the plan at least..
But you never know..thing may change.

You and me think very much the same Rolo. I did the same thing. Buy a V8 car to mess around with and keep the V6 a V6, although a blower would be nice. I am planning on using Scarlett for shows / cruises / some autocross which the V6 is perfect. Someday she will get a V8 but that won't be until I can afford an LS7...
