No worries that post will come !!!
Just ordered one of these

Should be here by tuesday. I was sick of the jepordy buzzer shift knob that I have so I figure this would be a nice little addition
Lost a bid on a regular leather knob by couple cents (was @ work) so I said screw it and went with this one instead

thanks guys. I want to put the hood on for the hell of it and show up to the M&G with it. But Im going to hold off on that. It would look off with the black primered hood and on the front bumper silver stripes hahasigpic

the finished product wont be for another year or two. Have tons of body flaws to take care of...paint you name it. Just makes it harder for it to be my DD, yet trying to make everything perfectOriginally posted by OIF1VET View PostCan't wait to see the finished product!
Might hold off on more mods to get a DD & park Yoshi , but if I have the $$ its hard holding out on the parts im itching to buy

I hear ya, Rolo. Having it as a DD makes it REALLY hard to keep good care of it. I'm so glad I bought my TB so I could let the 'maro rest for all these projects.- Brian Meissen

kk so little update. Picked up a passenger side fender from Sam. Going to pick up a driver side fender tomorrow. So that takes care of my front end (bumper, fenders, hood). Went to the shop and talked to the guy about paint, so hes going to call me with a quote.
Once the return comes in, I probably will hold off on the wheels/tires this year. And just get my rust spot taken care of. Figured how much I will probably pay to take care of the rust will just equal the amount of 4 rims (maybe a bit less)
. Also pick up the spoiler. And what ever I have left over save that for maintence and repairs. Im getting a nice chunk of change back but only spending so much on the car so I can pay these bills off once and for all.
To save some money for labor, I want to sand everything down myself. The fenders just have some life scuffs, what grit(s) would be best about going on these? Same goes for my GFX, light marks here and there, maybe a couple deep scratches.
On my hood, I ripped the carboard off that protected the corners and the tape was stuck on the hood. Took the tape off and it has the sticky residue on there that goo gone wont get off so I figured I would sand this also?????

Are you sanding before paint or sanding to get rid of swirls/scratches? I'd say start with a 320 for deep scratches and work your way up to a 600. Be careful not to create a pit while you're sanding though, it'll make it look horrible...unless you fix it with some polyurethane filler. And if there's some sticky residue on the hood then some wd40 or PB followed by glass cleaner to clean that off should do it.
