Look at all the joints in that kit - everyone of them is a potential for a leak. F-that.

Keep it simple. Build the trans, get the fuel system in line and wait for the Huron speed A/C kit if you want A/C - or fab your own kit.

You seem handy - just need some time, a welder and some bends.

It's either pull the trigger now or leave it mild. No point in putting $900 into working trans for a 300hp 5.3L. I'd love for the car to be the test bed for one of Jonny's AC kits.

That was w/o turbo. I also stated "I'd be willing to up my budget a bit for some boost and a better transmission." in the first post of this thread

I figured a minimum of 4k for a turbo build, not including rear end
