Dave - I know you want to use what you have. But you might want to consider gearing the car for 28" tires.

Like a 3.70

That'll get you 135mph on 26" & 146mph on 28"

At some point (soon) you'll want/need the extra sidewall for traction.

Hmmm...interesting thought. I never considered 3.70's and since tires wear out and I don't have gears yet I'm open to anything at this point.
