Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I decided to run the drain into the oil pan. I considered the front cover because it's easier to remove but I want as much drop in the return line as possible. Do it once, do it right
Yeah, I hear you on the Comp turbo's. It would be nice to run oiless but it's hard to justify for the price. Plus I think you still need to run coolant
Made some progress this past weekend. I installed the 317 heads, 60# Injectors, and 2 bar MAP sensor along with some other things. Here are pictures of my progress:
Removing heads
Installing ARP Studs
Both heads installed
There has been a lot of discussion lately about the importance of the rear steam vents and coolant crossover tubes. Since I still had my LS1 crossover tube from years ago I decided that now was a good time to install it. The only downside is you need to grind down the ribs on the bottom of the LS6 intake in order for it to fit but that’s a small price to pay for potential benefit. Intake ground
Intake installed
At this point I decided to get the car running NA with the new heads, cam, and injectors before installing the turbo. This will enable me to dial in most of the VE table in the non-boost regions and work out any bugs I might have when converting to speed density and loading the new injector data. I figure it will only take a few extra hours to re-install the airbox, radiator, stock exhaust, etc to get the car running again and it could potentially save me a lot of headaches down the road.
I also installed the first piece of my Huron Speed turbo kit…the MAF delete (although it’s only temporary)
Here’s how the engine currently sits. I had to order new pushrods because my old ones were too long. Once they arrive I will install the rockers, valve covers, coil packs, etc, etc and get the car running soon.
