What do you mean real turbo? We are running a T76 Q-trim, which is real to the best of my knowledge? You cannot agree with anything from me can you?Originally posted by shawnc16 View PostSo how would one get rid of boost lag, high back pressure, and boost creep when they put a real turbo on yur kit?sigpic

haters gonna hate. All this over 1 piece of the kit to which he feels is slightly too big, in that even it it were slightly to big would have what negative recourse? Couple hundred RPM spool time? Oh well, haters gonna hate.sigpic

^^^ AWESOME. Im saving that one! lol
Im not trying to piss anyone off here, but after reading through this thread I cant help to notice how it is making Shawnc16 look. Im not here to argue, but shawn, you really should take a look at how this thread and your posts are definining your image and making you look. Im being totally unbiased as I dont even have a dog in this fight, but as a fellow mifbody-ier you should maybe scale it back a few notches. Im sure that a lot of other people feel the same, I dont even know you, but I dont want one thread ruining yor whole reputation. Remember this is a michigan thread, not some national one like YB or LS1tech, you will see these people at some point and 99% on them on here are good guys. IMO its not smart just to give yourself a bad reputation even before you meet a lot of members on here.
I understand that you are just arguing about information here, but it is the talk such as "stealing people's money" among others quotes and pissing in the original thread that really doesnt look good.
I do have one question for you though, are you using a 2" crossover on the turbo kit you are making?

As I previously stated, would look into upgrades of the downpipe if there is demand. The only issue is clearance of the downpipe and getting it past the stock k-member. Much more requires one of the turbo build specific k-membersOriginally posted by shawnc16 View PostWith a 38mm wastegate and a 3" DP. Sounds good to me toosigpic

Yep, I'm building my kit with a 2" ID crossover, with a mergepipe before the turbo inlet. 4" DP. I have a BW turbo (tractor turbo) Oh and I do know quite a few people from MIFbody, infact I worked on Meissens car before. I was on WW every weekend last summer. Maybe missed a few. Flame away. Alright guys, let's keep it civil. I'm very disappointed in the way this thread is going and had high hopes that we'd have a civil discussion about the different aspects of turbo kit design and engineering - not snide remarks. If this is the course the thread is going to take, we're just going to lock it up and be done with it... really was hoping for a more positive discussion.
