Everything has been acknowledged. This kit will utilize the following based upon personal experience, and other PROVEN set-ups.
Being built for: 98-02 LS1 street/strip car from a stock engine 500 rwhp build to a forged 400+ CI build looking for 800 rwhp. After that a larger downpipe would want to be looked into
Features:
Hot side= 2.5" Cross over with T4 turbo flange. The 2.5" Cross over is proven to provide great spool time on even a stock motor and can be capable of far more than the turbo is capable. 3" V-banded downpipe. A 4" Downpipe will be looked into for a future option for those running a larger frame T4 and a turbo style K-member for clearnace. 38mm Wastegate flanges off cross over and to recirculate back into downpipe
Cold side= 4" Core intercooler with custom bracket requiring no cutting or modifying of the car. 3" Cold side piping from turbo to IC and IC to throttle body. 50mm BOV v-band flange between intercooler and throttle body.
Will include all couplers and t-bolt clamps minimizing couplers as much as possible (entire cold side is just 3 pieces). Will include a bracket to relocate the alternator as well.
Kit is being built around a Master Power T76 Q-trim turbo.
Kit is going in for a sample make here shortly
I'm not sure they have. Shawn seemed to bring some very valid info to this thread to possibly help the build. With actual flow numbers and formulas to make and efficient design. It seems that has all been deleted for some reason???

you must have read the posts since he hasnt even finished this one.. how can he compare different sizes when he's still working on the first kit?

I'm just asking how he knows 2.5" crossover is the "perfect" size unless he has tried others before? He says he has 5 years of turbo ls1 experience. I was wondering if he has tried this with his other kits
A 3" downpipe and 38mm wastegate is good for 800 whp? Show me
\he said for a stock motor build netting around 500rwhp.. he never said a 38mm gate was good for 800.. its common sense for someone with knowledge that for 800hp your going to need up upgrade quite a bit.. but like he said this is just for a mild output kit.
In a perfect world we would all have 2" crossovers and 5" downpipes right. That should be able to support the 1500hp your planning on making right?
For a starter kit designed to use a T4 turbo it sounds like a pretty decent place to start. If you want a 4" DP your going to need a turbo Kmember. He is looking to make a bolt on kit that does require you to buy a bunch of other stuff. Whats so wrong with that?

Why would he need to? Its proven time and time again that 2.5" is the size. Yet my data I presented stated otherwise. Simple math is all it takes. Not a guessing game nor is going on ls1tech and copying someone elses design and calling it proven.

you know the old saying "if it aint broke dont fix it." well he's using first hand experience with 2.5 inch piping and its worked very well for him in the past. not to mention the stock manifolds have a 2.5 inch opening coming from them so you surely dont want to step them down b/c it will restrict it, and going any bigger would just slow the exhaust down.

Show me the proof that reducing the truck manifold is restrictive on a turbo kit. Please do, I'd love to see it. You do know truck manifolds are built for a naturally aspirated engine right? N/A and turbo exhaust have very little in common. Oh that's right, that post was deleted

well no ****in shit they are built for a n/a engine.. thats what they are on..
yeah and your right.. i must not know shit since i just completed a twin kit for my car.. so i dont know jack shit.
im not saying its a proven thing.. but why make it smaller? its really not going to make the velocity going to the turbo any faster, and even if it does it wont be significant anyway. for the application he is doing it will work just fine.
