Well this winter im doing heads and cam with my car maybe supercharging it as well.... but i want to run a 100 - 150 shot on my car what type is everyone running and is it wet or dry?? The one i was thinkin of going with was the TNT powerring kit.... i haven't done much research on it but i heard you can tune it from inside your car to switch from a 75 shot up to a 150 shot with a turn of a dial

Unless you're doing a 250 shot or over I wouldn't suggest the direct port. I would spend the money somewhere else. Just my .02.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLEI was also looking into the power ring kit but I'm gonna go direct port from Nitrous Dave this winter.
I perfer a wet kit (less tuning involved) but it all depends on what you want. Also get a FJO controller for whivhever setup. MikeLast edited by zspot98; July 27th, 2006, 07:32 AM.

I won't be doing over a 150 on the stock block but I would like to do it the right way first. I have been prewarned by many people of other kits starving the 7 and 8 cylinders and causing problems.Doing less with more

I use a NX wet kit on mine and love it. I hear nothing but good things about NX.------------------------------------------

yeah 7 and 8 are the problem for most power adders...atleast with the stock intake...switch to a carb style intake and the air is disperced evenly and then it doesn't really matter....with Forced Induction..i've seen a lot of guys get their injectors flow tested, and the 2 heaviest ones they throw in 7 and 8 just to add a little more fuel "just in case"Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLEI have been prewarned by many people of other kits starving the 7 and 8 cylinders and causing problems.1998 Camaro SS Bullseye Turbo

Jeff here is a thread I stumbled across on LS1tech. It might help you in the decission process for going DP. I in no way am saying don't do it, but I personally ran a 150 shot using the shark nozzle and never ran into any problems. I was just saying that if you weren't planning on going over 150 shot to wait on the DP and use the money for a 90/90 setup or something, but that's just my .02. Mike

Are you really looking for 1000 hp derek? heads/cam/blower can make 700-750 at least(you saw 2 of these cars last Saturday), and you want to spray some gas? I think you gotta decide on one route maybe 2...

i run NOS brand in both my cars, they have been around the longest, i have heard good things about NX and TNT, but go to a wet kit sprayed through the bellows, not in the air box
oh and if your spraying anything under a 200 shot, dont worry about direct port, you will not lean out your 7 and 8 with a little shot. i spray a 250 shot through fogger nozzles, and i pulled my plugs, all 8 where all normal wear, no color varience in the plugs. on a side note when am i gonna get a piece of that procharged LS1 ricky!!

Thanks for the info guys I will definatly be on the lookout for a used TNT or NX kit if possible. The only reason I said dp was that further down the road I will have a forged stroker pushing over a 200 shot and already have the FAST 90/90 setup which is meant for dp.Doing less with more

Quick question for you NOS gurus.
For a guy like me with a TPI (has dual 48mm throttle body just like LT1 if you didnt know) would it better to run a nozzle in the bellows or one made for a TPI which is a plate that goes between the throttle body and plenum?
