well a cam shouldnt cost you much more than 500 bucks for top of the line... usually in the 150-300 dollar range for a basic cam... headers for sure... maybe get some head work done 2 grand you could get headers, cam, head work, and maybe a cheep no2 kit.. or i could get you the 383 stroker kit for 1500 and machined for 500 that would be worth it even on stock heads and cam it would make a huge difference

alright yea for sure, im trying to figure out how much it would cost me to port my stock heads as well, or i might still go with the bolt on additions i still don't know what i want to do?

logic the quicker you get air in the motor and the quicker you get it out the faster your car will be get your intakes and exhaust up to par then port your heads and install a hell of a cam but I think you are jumping the gun wanting to put a cam in the way your car sits today,my 2 cents

Yeah I totally agree don't put any large cam in that car the way it sits. First do full bolt-ons LS6 intake, P&P TB, Headers with Y and catback, possibly underdrive pullies then go for the cam. Heads you'll be fine on the stock one until you can save up enough or a nice set. This is just my opinion.

did anybody realize this is in the forced induction section. if hes spraying nitrous or plans on supercharging a 112lsa is a bit to close, youll need a 114lsa to be safe, but to run any kind of forced induction your gonna have to give up the lope, BUT IF YOUR NOT GO CRAZY, 110 LSA!!! oh and on a side note, a cammed ls1 sounds sick!! my buddies ls2 GTO that has a nasty cam and heads sounds sick! and my dad 2002 LE sounds like its ripping your nuts off on every rotation!
