  • I'm thinking of getting the nawzzzz

Ok guys, I know I have discouraged using nitrous but now I'm coming to the realization just how good it is. Such a gain and not such a strain on the motor like a turbo or SC does.

SO......I"m looking for a good kit. I want a WET kit. I would like an adjustable (75-150 shot) I just got a new fuel pump about 5 months ago(stock replacemnt) so i think it should hold up fine.

    Anybody have any recommendations?

    Time to go REALLY fast!!!!

my recomendation is simply....DO IT....i love my kit, and its nice to have the little extra kick in the pants when you want it.

Kit wise, i would check ls1tech and see what others like, since i dont have a v8

Many a piston have fallen victim to that "not such a strain".

If you still have stock cast pistons its just as hard on it as any other power adder... if you dont have your mixture right those pistons arent going to tolerate it for long.

You should be ok on a 100 shot or so, Kevin (Mr Bojangles) is looking to sell his kit I believe in the near future and of your not gonna spray bigger than 125 then hes got a dry kit that should work just fine.

If you haven't added the support mods I wouldn't. Agree with Matt. Don't want to ruin a perfectly good engine especially when your other option is a ruststain.

What are the "support mods" that you know of?

I have a brand new fuel pump (will be getting a fuel pressure gauge, have a/f ratio gauge to make sure i'm not running to lean (don't want any pistons to blow up) I heard it was a good idea to upgrade to ngk-tr6 plugs which I will do.

I think it would be good for me to stick with a dry kit.

So keep your eyes open for a kit!!!!!!!

Yeah, Bojangles kit is really nice. But NO ONE BUY HIS SHIT! He wants to sell his car to get an STI.... we can't let that happen!

Idk, when he came over to help me put on my intake, he said his car was a money pit and he wanted an STI so he could drive it year round, I told him that getting an STI is a pussy move and its still going to have problems, any car that you race out will... Im just hoping it was one of those stupid thoughts and he wasnt serious...

you will be fine with just exhaust, intake, and tr6 plugs on a stock engine with like a 75-100 shot. You go over 100 shot then you are putting some strain on the engine and the nitrous will find the weak points if there are any. Your pistons and such will be alright with 100 dry unless your computer decides to forget to add fuel when the nitrous goes over your MAF.

On my website I have a NOS dry system for the LT1 for sale. Here is the link.

Since he said he wanted a wet kit I don't think he'll need to worry about the MAF too much. Since you already have a new fuel pump you should be fine on a 150 shot (with some tunning).

read that over and you will see he wants to stick to a dry kit now.

Well I guess I should have read the whole post! I am somewhat curious why you've decided to go w/ a dry kit as of now. Just a little advice on the dry kit. You are gonna need to look @ injectors (maybe) and the A/F guage is not accurate in measuring wheather the car is lean. If you are going to do a dry kit you should look into a wideband and a lot on dyno tunning! With a wet kit you will not need as much tunning if any for a 125 shot. IMHO I'd go to LS1tech and do some research on the pros and cons of both kits and go from there. Mike
