I have heard with dry kits your injectors will need an upgrade. I also heard I'll need a wideband gauge, a/f ratio only moniters o2's.

To tell you the truth i'm very confused as to which set up I should go with. I Have done alot of research .

They say dry kits are good for first timers. But I don't have money to do a dyno tune right now, i can do a mail order tune. I just bought an extra PCM I can have tuned.

With the wet kit, i'm afraid if the one fo the solenoids don't fire then, BOOM there goes my engine. Well......give me some more of your guys input!

Who says that a dry kit is good for first timers? With a dry kit it's an absolute must to have it dyno tuned to make sure you're not running lean. Although with a wet kit the fuel is being mixed in w/ the n2o so running lean is less likely and the need for a tune is less. IMO a wet kit is safer if using all the safety item. For example if you have a fuel pressure safety switch and your fuel selonoid decides to break the system will either shut down or not activate @ all. However w/ a dry kit what's to stop the n2o from spraying if the MAF takes a shit on ya? Both a wet or a dry kit will be as safe as you make them and just remember that niether kit will be 100% safe. Hmm. Some guys on Ls1tech said a dry kit if very simple and east to install for first timers. As much as I want to do a dyno tune........I just won't have the money. I guess a fuel pressure safety switch is a must, along with a WOT switch and such. It sounds good to me.

hey.......how much is it to fill up a 10 or 15lb bottle.

        edit 902 posts!!! WOOT

zex offers a dry kit for lt1s for around 650 bucks or so.. VERY simple to install.. took my buddy and i about 2 hours or so. and imho is the way to go.. has a wot switch so when you arm it, and go wot it gives you a shot at your desired rpm and gear. also comes with jets for 75 -125 shot. i have heard nothing about tuning when it comes to this kit, and my friend who has since sold his camaro, never had it tuned. it ran like a dream.. bigger injectors and a a/f gauge are needed... and this was a completly stock lt1, + the inj and gauge.

<------ that is funny as shit

being your first time just make sure you get a kit specific for the car... my wet kit was easy enough but i didnt have the right fuel pressure for the gas... good thing i was running it rich at the time... nothing is dummy proof... but the newer kits that ive seen make it pretty simple and give you step by step instructions... no company wants the rep of blowing up motors.. find a model specific.. have someone who runs it give it a once over and go with all the safetys,WOT,Fuel pressure... ect. so you know atleast your not the one screwing it up... then once you get the feel for it you can up your shot and start changing stuff

Actually I made a mistake in my email. It's actually an Iceman n2o selonoid, not a purge. No pugre included in this kit. Thanks, Mike

Nope you don't really need it. If you do get a wet kit and get a FPSS you don't need to know what your fuel pressure is, since the system will turn itself off if you drop too low on the PSI.

with a dry kit, it boosts vacume on your fuel pressure regulator inturn making your injectors work harder so your maf has nothing to do with it. a dry kit isnt too bad and you dont need a dyno tune with it as long as your not screwing with your jetting, just run the jets the kit comes with or call which ever brand company you get and ask what size jets for which shot for your specific car.
