Idea for Turbo...
This is kind of an involved question. This is for a budget build. It is for my '97 Firebird.
1. What are the differences between the 3800 II Supercharged engine and a RWD Fbody 3800 II? (Internal components and structure)
2. How much boost can a stock GTP motor handle?
3. Theoretically could I use a turbo in place of the M90 if I port match my Fbody intake to the L67 heads?
4. Has anyone ever done a Pacesetter header to custom y-pipe turbo install?
Here is my idea. I have found a few running Supercharged L67s for a reasonable price. I understand that the L67 has a beefier bottom end and lower compression heads. I don't know that I want to go the exact route that Merlin did on his Camaro. Instead, I want to know if I can mix and match a turbo kit with an L67 rig?
