  • Superman V.3 COMPLETED (Dyno Numbers Inside)

Well i guess i'll start a thread for the new build now that its finally coming together. You already saw the shortblock in my last thread and as you probably know, i busted my transmission pump when connecting the stock trans to the motor. So i did what needed to be done anyway.... have the trans built. So i got the trans back Friday, shes loaded and warrantied! Woohoo! Mike and Eric came over later Friday to give me a hand as well which was a HUGE help, thanks guys! Anyways, when they got here on Friday afternoon, my car had no engine/trans/k-member, anything.... was BARE. Now shes finally taking form. Myself, Mike and Eric got the new engine bolted to the new trans outside of the car and managed to NOT break the pump this time! What a relief! Then we lifted up the engine/trans combo and dropped them into the car together through the top. Went in just fine but all 3 guys were needed to manuever the huge combo in there. We then tightened up the APS turbo assemblies and mounted them to the motor. Then we mounted the trans up while still keeping the engine held up by the picker. Then we wrestled the new BMR K-member for a few hours struggling. The following morning, i worked with it myself and finally got that SOB in. Today i wrestled the damn motor mounts into the k-member, what a PAIN! I ended up literally grinding down my one motor mount bolt til the end looked like a flathead screwdriver and jammed it in and slammed it home with a hammer! So now the Engine and Trans are MOUNTED in the car on the new k-member with the turbo assembled hung! Woohoo! I wrapped up the night bolting my power steering pump back up to the head, attaching connections to the trans and engine, moutning valley cover, knock sensors, etc. So here she sits!

    Forged Shortblock

    Longblock

    Covers added

    Turbo assemblies

New Transmission/Converter built to the hills

New BMR K-Member next to the stocker

    New Gauge setup installed

Here is what my car looked like as of Friday

    and

    NOW it sits....

Hasn't this project been going on for like 2 years?

                              lmao! (inside joke)

Jonnys gotta keep it under the knife until it can beat my car but hes gotta use two power adders, this year hes gotta use a forged motor, new cam, heads, a different turbo kit, and much more boost. It should do the trick.

j/p Jonny now get back to work so we can beat up that new trans.
