HE HE OT! I know how you feel. So now here is a question, is a T3 turbo runs off exhaust gases right? Meaning it is mounted to the exhaust system. So does this mean that I can use my SLP CAI with it since they are mounted in different places?

No reason why not...just be ready to fab up a whole bunch of stuff...I can hear the cash register ringing...

          1. First off with a turbo, say goodbye to the SLP intake. Also yes a turbo uses exhaust to spin.

          2. You can remote mount a ford sc, but would take some heavy fabrication. Easier to fab a turbo kit than to fab a remote mount sc and power levels would be higher with a turbo.

          3. Please make up your mind with what direction you are going with your car. You are bouncing around way to much. If all you are looking at is some extra power to hang with v8s till your 355 is ready to go in then get nitrous. Quick and cheap power that can be transferred over to other engines. If you go FI then say goodbye to your 355 hopes because you will be using all your $$ to make a kit

Sorry Travis, I don't mean to confuse the crap out of you guys. I plan on keeping the 3.8 stock as it is and enjoying the SLP. Like I said, my firebird is already DONE. I am not doing any power adders to the bird, I was only asking for educational purposes. My car is as it will be for the next few years.

The 355 is a separate project and most likely will go into this '67 Bonneville I was looking at or maybe in a 3rd gen, but none of that will happen any time soon, seeing that not only do I have the $ to complete the build but also I do not have the cash for donor car.

The Turbo my friend offered me I will probably buy just to have one and so I can learn more about them. I mean for $50 it will be a good conversation piece to say the least right? LOL. Most likely I will save the turbo for another car.

These are 3 different projects I have. The firebird is my primary, the 355 is my secondary, and the turbo is just for fun and may not even make it into a car unless you guys think I can run it with the 355?

BUT TO CLARIFY FOR EVERYONE... (I ASK THESE TYPES OF QUESTIONS NOT ONLY FOR MY OWN ENRICHMENT BUT ALSO SO IT MIGHT INSPIRE OTHERS TOWARDS TRYING NEW THINGS. MOST OF THE TIME I ASK JUST FOR THE SAKE OF ASKING AND I DO NOT HAVE ANY PLANS FOR DOING ANYTHING BEYOND THAT)

So please do not get upset when I ask these questions, I know what I am doing most of the time. I just like to learn and I would like to gain a greater understanding of how motors, turbos, and cars work.

i like it when people ask questions cause i generally learn something, at least for a couple minutes then forget all about it.

i think buying a welder and pipe bender would be a good investment if going turbo, because learning to weld/fab effectively is fairly simple. doing it yourself would be fun also.
