indeed, look at francis's car, goes 9's and as far as numbers, it doesn't put down anything impressive, the chassis just works great.Originally posted by 1BADAIR View Post500rwhp with an auto and a good setup could go low 10's

you guys are all liars I've seen those mods and I don't have half that kinda cash. As for tires throw some 305 mickey thompson tires on it..... oh wait that rear will grenade but if you want to hook there is no better DR.Doing less with more

Yeah, I'm wondering how long the rear will last too.. For now I am not going to launch on spray, going to have 1st locked out. I have no traction in 1st with just the motor. So we'll see next year what it runs. If I get some 15x10's for it then I'll try some launches on spray(and pray..lol)Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postyou guys are all liars I've seen those mods and I don't have half that kinda cash. Yeah I know..Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostSlicks and spray launches will grenade your 10 bolt......better start saving for a 9".
It's not a question of if, it's when... Well hopefully I'll get some overtime so I can start saving for a 9"..

nah it'd be a complete waste better to use that towards a 12 bolt or 9". Personally I've heard of people breaking them from 2nd to 3rd as well with that kinda power, but thats pretty rare.Originally posted by scholtmj View PostYou could always pick up a spare 10-bolt for cheap "just in case" and see how long your stocker lasts. many people with auto's go 10's on the 10 bolt. They do OK on auto's unlike sticks. use a et street instead of a "radial" cause they soften the hit to the tire. Many vette guys use et street instead od et street radials to keep the half shafts in one piece.
Steel wheels are heavy. the new street star from jegs is heavier than prostars but use the acorn nuts and will fit over the stock brakes
