Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

We put a 150 shot on a 89 GTA with a 350 TPI motor. Didnt have to touch the timing. The computer did it by itself. Motor was all stock besides headers, exhaust, and a custom made air intake.
It ran really good with a 150 shot.....I dont see why you couldnt do that plus on a LS1.
150 on a stock ls1 is fine. (pull timing) You need a bigger fuel pump though.
francis was running over 200 forever on his without issues
yeah francis has a 255 intake as well. the problem with a lot of those kits is that yeah they use the fuel off the rail for the kit. Franky's been running that cold fusion 250 direct port setup for a few years now and it has it's own fuel cell.....but yeah they whacked the **** out of that stock bottom end for years and it never gave until this year...and the bottom end was still fine, it was actually a lifter that split in half!!!
the 255 would be OK with a hotwire kit. If its a wet kit make the fuel line from the solenoid to the nozzle as short as possible. It helps the lean spike that happens from the fuel regulator being in the tank in our cars.
I have a standalone fuel cell for my N20 cause my racetronics pump was dropping 10psi on a 100 shot.
on a cam or H/C setup up the 255 should be fine

I'm looking at a wet kit.. What is a Hotwire kit, never heard of it? Thanks!
anything after 150 you have to pull timing, 2degrees per 50hp after 150. a walbro 255 will pump enough. i have a 300 shot on my Z28 and i run 1 255@43.5psi. an LS1 is totaly safe to spray 175 all day long without worrying about it. never spray your nitrous below 3000 RPM. nitrous is totaly safe if used right, some people see 1 nitrous backfire on youtube and say OOOHHH NITROUS MAKE YOUR CAR GO BOOM!! and frankly its just not true, what causes a nitrous backfire NORMALY is the design of the cars intake manifold. in some intakes the fuel spraying in with a wet kit puddles in "pockets" in the intake then when it ignites BOOM! how many LS1's and LT1's do you see back fire? not many, you see alot of mustangs backfire because of thier intake design. also puddling can be caused by poor jetting. but just because you spray doesnt mean your going to pop your motor.. oh and for your ignitiopn if you choose to get an ignition amplifier go with the malory 685, the MSD is a pile of shit compared to it.
