As far as heads go....don't think you can use a 2.02 valve on a 305's bore due to the valve wanting to hit the edge of the cylinder.
x2...but it would not have the same "cool" factor.

x2 on the heads too...lol...but that can be fixed...

Well I had thought about the 406, but all the 305 would need is a 4340 crank, $700, maybe some better heads, a more appropriate cam and splayed 4-bolt caps would be a good idea. The Eaton units go for about 2-3k. I already have 4340 h-beam rods and forged pistons so those are set.

The 400 is bare, would need machine work, crank/rods/pistons/heads so on and so forth. Baker Engineering quoted me 3k for a forged short block using my 400.

As for bigger heads on a 305, I already have the cylinder bores notched for my current BIG cam + 1.6 rockers. So I can't imagine a cam with small lift wouldn't fit. Worst case I'd just port the current iron heads and save some money.

It'd be cheapest to not buy an Eaton and fix my motor the way it is, but who's counting?

It's for TPI motors so you'd need the carb hat for your motor. I'd fix your 10-bolt and transmission first then buy the SBC carb model with is about half as much as I paid for my setup. Or, I'll sell you mine for $2750 and watch you toast more driveline parts which would be fun for me!!!

Right. You can get the non-intercooled carb unit for that much brand new but the fuel injection, intercooler TPI units cost a lot more.

I thought you were out of money? Why did you buy that bike? You could have a supercharger to install this winter!! PRIORITIES!!!

I can get just as much boost with a supercharger as I can with a turbo but that wasn't the point of the thread.

"would it work as I think it will" was the point.
