25 minutes TOPS, incredibly easy and the high quality gauges make it real easy to get them on. taking the bezel out is simple too. Whitegauges.net is where I got the gauges and I HIGHLY reccomend them. ordered the gauges in the afternoon on a friday and got them the next monday already. fantastic transaction.-Derek-

yea that is a much cleaner and better setup for the intake side. Should help net a little more hp as the intake isn't as restricted and ribbed. More of a straight shot and should let the sc breath easier.

if only the brotherly sc-nitrous battle would be more evenly matched. He is running on a slightly bigger budget than me with a full time job and all money going to the car. Where as Im trying to cover college tuition and probably wont invest any money if possible into my car this summer. Will be fun to run them both though, they will certainly open the eyes of some v8 driversOriginally posted by silver6_maro View PostLookin good, cant wait to see and hear that bird run this year!!! and maybe watch to SC vs. N2O battle!!!

lost track after a while, supercharger itself was 875 and all piping and brackets were custom fabbed up by either our shop or the machine shop we have ties to. I think I paid 70 bucks for the main mounting bracket including materials and some other brackets were made by a friend of my brothers. Piping was fabbed up in our shop by my uncle for free, elbows totalled like 75 bucks, injectors 40 bucks, lid 50 bucks, valve cover breather 25,BOV 10, pulley 30, belt 25?, spark plugs 10, those are all estimates, and I am sure I am missing some stuff. But a plain kit probably around 1300. maybe more, would have been much more expensive if we didnt have all the resources we did and bought a lot of parts used. not even going to count the gauge prices and hptuners.Originally posted by cobalt camaro View Postredfbirdv6 if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the powerdyne kit. i dont care for any of thoes exhausts on v6s.. SLP, TSP, duals etc.Originally posted by redfbirdv6 View Postif only I could figure that out myself, only really good sounding v6 i have heard had dual bullets with an H pipe, if I ever get money that may be what I have to do, right now the exhaust is mainly for function over sound (3 inch) any suggestions? (it is the Loudmouth 1 exhaust with a twister bullet muffler)
heres a vid of my 3'' magnaflow. it was intended for the lt1 system but fits just fine.

Did you just use a power dyne from any kit, or did you use one from an ls1 kit, just trying to figure out some pricing, i know rksport sells the kit, but not for my year, and turbo just seems like it's going to be a ton of money. Not saying your setup was cheap but it looks great, it's obviously giving your great power, and i have access to a mill and cnc so i could make a braket for the superchager if i needed to.sigpic

incorrect about RKsport. NOBODY makes a kit for the v6 fbody anymore, we based our platform on the RKsport templates we had made, and we simply improved upon their design with a couple features to keep the belt tighter. it is simply a BD11A powerdyne supercharger, got it off ebay. there are usually some of that model on there, make sure you get a straight scroll and not a 90 degree one, a scroll basically determines how the outlet is shaped.Originally posted by cobalt camaro View PostDid you just use a power dyne from any kit, or did you use one from an ls1 kit, just trying to figure out some pricing, i know rksport sells the kit, but not for my year, and turbo just seems like it's going to be a ton of money. yep they stick right over the stock gauges, they are sort of transparent over where the stock letters and gauges are, they light up red just like the car always did stock, it is transparent enough that I could see through to line up the lines/numbers under a good light, but when sitting in car they appear clearly black.Originally posted by GETGONE View PostAre those gauge overlays just stickers? How do they light up?

that is a link to the gauges and if you watch the picture long enough it switches from daytime to night to give ya an idea, looks totally stock adn thats what I liked about it. Great quality too they do not stretch or rip and can be stuck and unstuck easily until the last step when you heat up the glue with a hairdryer.-Derek-

yea dale you have some more researching to do.
Nobody makes a powerdyne kit anymore and turbos are all custom as well. Go nitrous
Mach performance here in MI makes a procharger kit for the 3.8l cars. Give them a call. Their kit is like 4k though. Pretty pricey------------------------------------------

Well I have been researching the pros and cons to each mod including NA, Turbo, supercharger, Nitrous, And well i keep finding different information about each. One day Turbo sounds great, but premade kits are non existent anymore. I know basically no matter what route i go, i gotta do suspension, gears and fueling. But for NA there are choices such as how mild or wild to go, and the internals and heads that go with them, that add up the cost really fast. Then there is Turbo which is very efficient but again is alot of custom fabricating and high dollar. Then Supercharger, takes power to create power, plus for both of the FI, they are going to need upgraded intake, heads, cam anyways to make great gains. So at this point i'm kind of looking into each or a mix with a nitrous and a cam from zzp. I'm really looking for reliable performance but still dailly driven. This is also the reason why i like turbo, i have heard from many i can still keep my gas mileage decent as long as i stay outta the boost to much. I'm not looking to build a 10 second car outta it. I just want to have a nice boost in power, and with a supercharger i can adjust boost by switching out pulleys and doing a tune. I am going to keep on researching the crap outta all my options, but for now i'm looking for a zexel torsen rear end because i already have 3.42 gears. The biggest thing that scares me about NA is the heads, freaking expensive any way you go about it.sigpic

you can run FI and nitrous on stock engines you know right? You don't need a built engine to add a little power to your car.

yea i know it can be a stock engine, but i just want to weigh out the total options. I know that if i turbo my car that after awhile i'm gonna get the itch to want more power, and with more power usually comes more parts.sigpic
