  • Very cool, That's a lot of power. Nice work.

Dumb question, your motor itself is basically stock though right?

Ha ha, yeah.... that has already happened. 1st is useless when in boost as I discovered. I am gonna need a tire sponsor for all of this. You volunteering?

Thanks, it was a lot of work but TOTALLY worth it! Yup, stock LS1 with upgraded valve springs and pushrods. Deleted all that emissions stuff too.

        • OK everyone. Here are the videos. Unfortunately my camera microphone is not picking up much of the noise that I can hear from inside the car like the wastegates and BOV's. They are sort of there, but sound louder to me when I am in the car. Enjoy! And no laws were broken in the making of these films....

I also snapped some pictures of the PCV valve that had to be added to my breather set-up. Without the PCV to meter the air it was causing lean idle issues and affecting normal driveability. My tuner found this and added the PCV to the APS set-up. Problem solved. Just wanted to pass this along in case anyone else runs into idle issues with their kits.

X2...... No need to advertise. Its more fun to see the look on their face afterwards.

Yeah I have always been a fan of stealth. They won't know what hit them. But it is not exactly stealth when next to the car that's for sure. And it is pretty loud inside the car. I was a little disappointed the camera didn't pick up on the noises very well. It sounds awesome when I am in boost!!! But yeah, I definitely am looking forward to surprising a few cars here and there.... Gotta love the shock factor. I think once they hear the turbo's they will know they are done for. Ha ha.

x2...yes having turbos for the power is incredibly awesome, but its only about 75% of the fun. hearing the forced air smashing into the atmosphere is the other 25%. as far as advertising, by the time you lay into her, they are going to hear the turbos spool and know exactly whats going on before you win and hit them with anything. you might as well make it known and race people that are going to be actual challengers. trust me, there will be plenty of kids my age acting like fools and racing you even know they know better, and that will give you plenty of satisfaction.

all in all though, let me say that this is one of the best threads i have ever seen about any automobile. very informative, detailed, fun, exciting, and you definitely gave everyone their need of photo albums!

Made 5 passes at Milan last night. Only 2 were clean where I didn't miss any gears or spin off the line. For running on street tires with no suspension upgrades other than my rear LCA's, this is not too bad. I ran a 12.5 twice at just under 122mph. I was car #36 on the slips. My reaction time is not the greatest but this was my first time at the track all year. And I am not launching hard as I didn't want to break the 10bolt. All in all I am very happy. I drove the car to the track, had fun, and drove home. And it is at work today! Gotta love a fun DD!

It is nice to have a twin turbo CAMARO. But I have found that I tend to go through fuel a lot more quickly now too! And that adds up quick! It's hard staying out of boost!
