I like those TiAL wastegates, they are schweeet! Reminds me... I still have to plumb my wastegate back to my downpipe rabble rabble.

Yeah I considered installing this over the winter. But once the kit showed up, I didn't want to wait! I wanna hear these bad boys spooling on the car now!! So here I am wrenching every night after work trying to get it all on the car. Believe me I hate not driving it in the nice weather. It is my DD during the warmer months.

The turbo isnt quite audible through my muffler (Hooker Aerochamber). Just something to be aware of.. when I open the cutout its very audible and not as loud as you think because those turbos quiet it down. You going to run a cutout? if you dont have one I'd strongly suggest one with the turbos.

ill agree with matt there. Jonny's TTTA makes some interesting sounds, but I wouldnt say it spools very loud.

haha that it does, you havent heard it with the cutouts open though Joel, sounds like a totally different monster, much more turbo noise.

As Matt said, cutouts might want to be looked into. Kit looks great!

As for install time, i think he'll do much better than me considering his kit comes with everything he needs and instructions, i basically had to complete the rest of mine, and basically re-do everything on the kit and all that jazz, what a PITA. Your install should go much smoother than mine other than the k-member part.

How much boost you plan on running and who is doing the tuning? The kit looks great, only downfall i've seen to APS kit seems to be the noise of it, doesnt really seem like you can hear a lot of turbo noise with their kits which some may love, others may not. I'm sure toying around with stuff can change that though, like not having the BOV routed back into piping, using cutouts, etc. Have fun with the install and you will love BOOST! i'm already addicted. BTW, what are you doing for guages and fuel upgrades? Keep it up!

Yup, there is nothing like twins! There are a few tuning options around here. It will depend upon schedules and availability once I have it ready.

Thanks Jonny! Yeah it should all bolt right up. One of the shops is already ahead of me and said everything went in pretty easily so I am looking forward to getting to that stage. Tuning will be someone local. It will depend up scheduling because I do not want to wait once I get it ready. I plan to install the kit as shipped for now. I can always change BOV's, add cutouts, etc at a later date. I plan to see how I like the set-up as designed first. Fuel system is the Racetronix in tank pump with hotwire kit. I am keeping it at 500rwhp with the base 7psi wastegate springs that come with the kit. That is plenty for me and the drivetrain..... I also have a guage pod on the way. Guages will be boost, fuel pressure, and Wideband. Still have to decide on the guages though. Worst case I add them later, but it would probably be easier to do now.... Decisions, decisions.

Have you started a "drivetrain rebuild" savings fund for when you torch your clutch, snap the 10-bolt and crack the tranny gears?

hope that sloppy LS1 clutch lasts a while because slipping is going to be your lifeblood!

Yes, a new rearend is in the plans for next year. Along with a torque arm and some lowering springs. That is why I am sticking to street tires with this set-up. I also put a LS7 clutch in this spring and hope that will hold up. If not I will have to get a stronger clutch next year as well. 10-bolt has survived so far (with many pinion seal replacements). I will attempt to get it to survive the rest of this year until I can get the new rear next year. And yeah its only money, but I am trying to minimize the hole I dug here. I had most of the money for all of this but my divorce has cleaned me out. So my 0% credit card has been my friend!

Ahh... well was just throwing it out there. Without the cutout the turbo noises are nowhere near as present and its not as cool as you hope for noise wise lol.

Especially if you have a recirculating BOV.

Will definitely be stealth though.

im not sure if i would like the sound or want it stealth like. i know in my Talon, you could definately hear the turbo spool and the BOV. i think id want to hear it in the firebird too!
