My APS TT Install Thread

I will try to keep everyone updated with the install progress on my car. The kit arrived the Monday before Woodward and I began the install last night. I am shooting to have it done and back on the road in 2 weeks. We'll see if I can stick to that.

Here are the starting pics from last night. Took the front end off and began the process. Tonight will be going through the turbo kit and making sure all parts on the BOM are included. Don't want to discover anything missing as I am further into this. That would suck! Ha ha. Enjoy.

We'll see. I pretty much have everything I need to get this on the car (k-member, fuel injectors, fuel pump/hotwire kit). Pushrods are on the way and I pick up my LS6 valve springs tomorrow. So there should be nothing else needed to get this installed. After it's all on I still need to worry about an exhaust and tuning. Those could slow me down. We'll see. I am still gonna try for the 2 weeks! I hate not driving the car in the nice weather. But I didn't want to wait to install this over the winter either. I wanna hear these puppies spool!!!

OK, cranked on it more tonight. First item of tonight was to verify all parts on the BOM were included in the kit. So I layed everything out. Anyone for a giant jigsaw puzzle? I am very happy with the kit so far. The parts are very high quality and will hopefully bolt right up. They packed these things incredibly well for the trip here from Australia. Look at all that shine. I am gonna HAVE to do some engine bay dressing up next season so it all looks better together.
Next I drained all of the fluids (Oil, Coolant). Got the exhaust off, took the coil packs off, and any other items still attached to the front of the car. Next step is the K-Member.....may need to phone some friends for that one!

Didn't get a ton done tonight. Ran out to get some sealants at the store. Then mostly a bunch of subassembly items. Put the heat shielding and studs on the manifolds. Put the water and oil attachment fittings on the turbo's. And put the wastegates on the downpipes. Things are looking SWEET!!!!! Enjoy todays automotive porn!

I like those TiAL wastegates, they are schweeet! Reminds me... I still have to plumb my wastegate back to my downpipe rabble rabble.
