Okay...how do YOU dry your car?

There is a quarter car wash 2.8 miles from my house. I wash it there, drive it home down a 55mph rode which I get on it to hit about 70mph to get even drier, then I get home and use this thing we sell at my work called "The absorber" Not really sure what it's made of. It's supposed to hold like 750% it's weight in water. Probably chamois?

Call me anal, but I guess not as anal as the leaf blower.

When I'm all done rinsing the soap off, I take the nozzle off my hose. The free flowing water out of the hose aimmed just right works WONDERS on a waxed surface for sheeting the water right off your car and leaving behind a few single drops. I'm a pro at this on my car, got the angles and everything down on how to get the water to sheet just right.

I then use a waffle weave microfiber drying cloth which absorbs quite a bit. It's about 1 foot by 1 foot in size and I can safely say that after I use the nozzle-less hose method, I can use the 1 foot by 1 foot waffle weave microfiber without having to wring it out... there's that little water left.

i basically do like you do Brian, with the nozzle off the hoseand then towels that i have specifically for the car and yes i have them specified for each car

I've used most all of those methods over the years, but now I use the Water Blade, followed up with a towel to catch the areas the water blade can't reach. I've used a water blade for several years, and have yeet to scratch.

ive only scratched one car out of the 100+ cars ive used one on. The bad thing was, the car that i did scratch... i scratched twice! I figured the first time it was a just a spell of bad luck so i kept using it. either i was wrong or i had really bad luck.

I start with a double carbon filtered water system
use the cut off end of hose sheet method
followed by compressed air or leaf blower on the billet and paint
then the large waffle weave microfiber
then a regular microfiber
then detail spray with a microfiber

Got well water here to and its hard as a mother effing rock!

I use a rubber tip blow gun with compressed air on my wheels....no other way to get those suckers completely dry.

well water here too it sucks. thankfully we have a spicket in the garage thats softened because our unsoftened water is HORRIBLE. if i wash my car in the sun i almost do more harm than good

I know what you mean.....I got a bunch of spray on the side of my black truck the other day when washing the IROC right next to it.....was right in the sun......OMG the spots where terrible....I swear they had texture they were so bad.

I have no problems here with my nice clean, cool, mineral reduced city water.

I use the blade on the windows, hood, spoiler.
Bathroom towel the rest and then use a microfiber towel for the wax.
