A couple of microfiber towels if available.

Usually start drying in this order:
    1. All Windows
    2. Chrome parts and mirrors
    3. Then Wax-As-You-Dry the body.....sometimes the roof which means it's time to break out the 6 foot ladder.
    4. Turtle Wax Chrome Polish Exhaust instead of drying off water beads.
    -2005 GTO - 6.0 LS2! Holden!
    -95 Chevy Full Size G-Van - 5.7 350 V8 VROOOM!

Yeah, I'm thinking I'd be using the car wash with a hot wax on it and call it good. Wax job must take a week, lol.

Ha ha you would think, but I say about a good couple hours depending on how thorough. But seriously I used the real wax one time. I was waxing ALL DAY.

I use an absorber towel on the painted surfaces, and microfiber on the lowers such as the wheels, inner fenderwell areas, door jams, etc. I also use compressed air to blow water out of the cracks and lugnut areas. After I'm done, I take the towels into the house and run them through the washing machine to shake loose all contaminants, then roll up the absorber towel and hang the microfiber cloths up to dry.
1984 Pontiac Trans Am. Well, most of it anyway. Some of it is 1969 Chevy. Some of it is 1982 4-cylinder Firebird, 1987 Trans Am, and 1991 Formula 1LE. Some of it is 1994 Trans Am, and some of it is 1999 SLP Firehawk. The rest is aftermarket.

I also use the absorber. Pretty sweet alternative to the chamois, it absorbs more than a normal chamois, and it is distinctly different in appearance from any of the other rags/towels in my detailing bucket. . .

I use the Mr. Clean Auto Dry Car Wash. It is awesome on black paint!! If it leaves anything behind I use a micro-fiber cloth. The Chamois is great for taking the fingerprints off if thats all that's there.

waterblade on the windows, absorber on the paint, i dont really worry about the watter traps, i just wait till it all dries up then just wizards detail spray the whole car.

please excuse my spelling... i went to a cathlic school.
